To any Filoni Faithful who may be lurking in the shadows, gritting your teeth as the truth hits you with the force of a mighty Wookiee, let me just say this: How does it feel to be so wrong? Go ahead, take your time to answer.
7:48 - They took inspiration of everything but a actual Star Wars work! That's explains why TCW not resembled anything from Star Wars, they always took ideas from other universes!
Filoni loves taking credit for "expanding Ventress' backstory" despite it already being long done by several EU writers and creators back in the early to mid 2000s!!!
TCW having the Clones being trained by regular Bounty Hunters, instead of Jango Fett (with the ARC Troopers) and his Mandalorians, was almost criminal! The Clones are Mandalorians, that's the whole point of having an entire army of them around the Jedi, preparing for their revenge agaist the Jedi with the eventual Second Great Pruge (Order 66).
Ventress was ALWAYS from the planet Rattatak!!! As a small child, she watched her parents get murdered by warlords. Not long after, a Jedi Master had gotten stranded on the planet and found Ventress and trained her as his padawan after he saw her potential. They became very close, and one day, she watched her Jedi Master get murdered by the very same warlords that killed her parents. After this, she fell to despair and darkness and became a wicked warlord herself, well feared and renowned for her cruelty. Then she went on to serve Dooku as a Dark Side assassin/commander, who ultimately betrayed her and ordered her death, which she barely survived after Obi Wan tried bringing her to the Light Side, but she faked her death even though she was seriously injured, but she healed herself and dissappeared off the maps, never to be seen again. Filoni retconned all of that!!!!
GL made sure to mention Quinlan Voss AND the planet Boz Pity in Ep. 3 ROTS, both from the EU CWMMP novels and comics! It's when Anakin is late to the briefing at the Temple, and Obi Wan fills him in on recent events basically saying: "In short, the war goes well; Saleucami has fallen and Master Voss is moving his troops to Boz Pity." Or something along those lines.
8:16 - No, the fans don't assume that the Nightsisters can touch the Force, because that was already stabilished since the beginning! Their powers do not came from other mystic field energy besides the Force, that's non-sensical and breaks the lore completly! There's no such a thing as "magic", detatch from the Force on Star Wars, because the Force itself already fulfill that role! Every form of apperantly "magic" on Star Wars, like what Ewoks, such as Logray, Zarrak and Teebo, and the witch Murag did is literally the Force!
In SW in-universe timline, the human carbonite freezing wasn't first done in Ep.5 ESB, it was ONLY THAT SPECIFIC CARBONITE FREEZING UNIT which was initially used for the freezing of such things like Tibanna gas which was being mined from Bespin via Cloud City - people seem to forget that Cloud City was a Tibanna gas mining facility!!!
Why I'm not surprise with another misconception like that carbonite one being used in official canon by Filoni? This guy is the embodiement of misconceptions! It's like every misconception made by the fandom through the years had generate Filoni! Lol
Not only was Darth Maul cut in half, but he also fell into an ACTIVE REACTOR SHAFT!!!!! Meaning there wasn't a comfy pile of trash for him to land on!!!! HE WOULD'VE BEEN INCINERATED!!!!

Filoni said "There's no detail too small that we won't try to make better" but when questioned about how one of his decisions works within the SW Universe, his smart-aleck response is: "Why are you so serious?"!!!!! WTF!!!!
I'm wondering if the Mortis thing helped fuel the whole "equal light equal dark" misconception in fandom? I'm so glad Revan wasn't there in TCW because it would retcon that he was redeemed in KOTOR. Sith can't appear anywhere like light side Force spirits either. They can only tie themselves and their spirits to the physical world and objects. So glad George stopped Filoni from doing this.
@@ironinquisitor3656 I think it played a part, people always reference the mortis arc to say anakin is the balance of dark and light. Even Filoni admitted it’s purely metaphorical.
In all the EU material, it states beyond any shadow of a doubt that Darth Maul DIED!!!! He just wanted to resurrect him because he was a cool character like Boba Fett, and likewise thought he could replicate the "resurrection" of Boba Fett from the Sarlaac in the EU; but they aren't comparable, as Bobas' demise was left ambiguous due to he had armor and weapons and the fact that Sarlaac doesn't kill its prey outright, so it makes sense Boba survived, unlike with Maul!!
Filoni retconned Quinlan Voss because during this time of the Clone Wars, in the EU CWMMP, Voss was on a very important secret mission trying to track down the elusive Sith Lord behind it all, and he feigned defecting to the Separatist/Sith side and trying to get close to Dooku. Voss actually went too far into the Darkside, killing an innocent person, and the Jedi Order had a hard time bringing Voss back to the light. Towards the tail end of the war, Voss was back leading troops on the ground, and wound up on Kashyyyk were he was very nearly killed by his clone troops, and just barely escaped with his life, and went into hiding with his new wife and child.
In the EU novel "Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter" the character Lorn Pavan is frozen in carbonite by his droid to help hide signs of his life force from being detected by Darth Maul who was trying to kill him!! And if I'm not mistaken, humans were also frozen in carbonite in either SWTOR or KOTOR, but like usual, Filoni likes claiming he's the first one to do it prior to ESB!!!
Filoni saying George wanted Ventress to be from the Nightsister Clan on Dathomir is absolute and utter BS!!!! HE APPROVED HER EU BACKSTORY SEVERAL YEARS PRIOR!!!!!! WTF!!!!
Filoni COMPLETELY changed Dathomir and the witches!!! In the EU, Dathomir looked not too dissimilar to parts of Earth, and there were SEVERAL different Dathomiri witch clans!!!!!
We already saw Quinlan Voss on screen in Ep. 1 TPM, albeit through a retcon, because when TPM was made, Quinlan Voss didn't exist as a character yet, but when he was made shortly after, the creators used the design of that one background character, and made it to where he was on and undercover mission on Tatooine working against the crime lords! So Filoni also ripped off Quinlan Voss working against crime lords from the EU!
"It's a matter of opinion." IT BLOODY WELL ISN'T!!!! IT'S ESTABLISHED IN THE SINGULAR CANON CONTINUITY!!!! Last I checked, Canon DOES NOT EQUATE to "opinion!"
Yeah, Ahsoka was made so important by Filoni that she should've at least been mentioned somewhere other than TCW; I mean, even Quinlan Voss got mentioned in Ep.3 ROTS!! But she's nowhere to be seen or heard, and for someone that's supposed to be so close to Anakin, it would've been too important to keep out!!
It never made any sense to me that Anakin would have a padawan, as not only was he still a padawan himself for the majority of the Clone War (only being knighted within the last year of the war), but he was also busy being the poster boy for the Republic going from battlefield to battlefield with no downtime at all hardly, AND the fact he was mentally and emotionally unstable and immature. Someone as wise as Yoda or Obi Wan would know giving him a padawan would be a bad idea!
About Ventress, her overall change was so dumb and completly unnecessary to the trama! If they don't like her original story and don't wanted to work with, than why don't bring a new character to work? I mean, if they really wanted a Nightsister as villain, just create a new one! I feel like every single retcon TCW came with was totally unnecessary and could be easily avoided! Filoni did all this on purpose, he never care to George Lucas!
@darthlucasfuu 1000% avoidable!!!! All of the other EU material that came prior had to conform with what came prior to it!! But filoni came along with his TCW and threw conformity out the window because apparently, the rules that applied to the other EU creators don't apply to him!! ABSOLUTELY MADDENING!!
Filoni ripped off the resurrection of Darth Maul from the SW Visionaries comic book titled: "Old Wounds" from 2005 written by Aaron McBride, which was always non-Canon!!!
Skran. Concerning carbon freeze, it was being used by the Sith around the time of Exar Kun comic book stories. Years before Filoni. So he knew of this and ripped off those stories from Tales of the Jedi comic book series.
TCW ruined Yoda’s character. Filoni made Yoda 100% fully aware of what will happen in Episode 3 and who Palpatine really is. What does Yoda do with this knowledge? Nothing. He just sits there and lets it all happen. Which begs all sorts of questions as to why even bother feeling bad about Order 66 and trying to stop Palpatine at all?
This shows how little Filoni cares about continuity. Especially given how he and his crew changed Quinlan Vos, Asajj Ventress, the Nightsisters, etc.
Commandos were mentioned in Ep. 2 AOTC, during Battle of Geonosis, when Mace lands at a clone forward command post and disembarks from a gunship, a Clone Commander informs him he has a few Commando Units awaiting his orders!
7:22 - "Because we never really got a sense of where she came from..."
Yes, we had! The planet Rattatak! "Star Wars - Republic" #60! Come on!!
Quinlan is undercover- of course he isn't going to be in robes.
"So many different iterations of the character" IT'S THE SAME EXACT BLOODY CHARACTER THROUGHOUT THE EU!!!!!!!!
