Freya watching Lou n Max outside whilst you are in the kitchen is the definition of "bliss". This is peace and tranquility. Max has gone from baby to little toddler , his thought process , dexterity and how he listens is amazing to watch. Organisation is important, it keeps our minds organised too. Thank you for sharing your beautiful life. Take care ❤

Been here since that decluttering video as well.
For me the clutter really messes with my mind and makes me feel totally overwhelmed. Especially during winter.

❤ love your channel. Far as teaching Max NO it's a service to him, the parents in his world, future laws of the land.... and his own wife and family down the road. Teaching him no when you are trying to clean up also can be giving him a job to do: putting paired socks in the bin you need them in.

I think for 3 ppl ... including one little one who needs a LOT of changes ... you could get some more storage.
"Most used" stuff in milk crates or baskets hung on walls out of the way (maybe above the windows) so Max doesn't lose any play space (and can't really get into them to throw stuff out) or maybe some thin, flush to the walls cabinets (Ikea-style) that go to the bottom of the windows or under the mini-split. I know Lou has built a lot of cool stuff like that ... hanging is MANDATORY for me!!! A hanging closet with some cubbies in the bottom .... You could also build some kind of outdoor storage with seasonal clothes nearby but not in the house. Mouse-proof storage totes in the wall tent is also a decent solution.
Good luck --- our "stuff" is always a challenge to fit into our spaces. Especially with kids.

  • @hope-vx3rc
    @hope-vx3rc 11 місяців тому

Ah Dana. Loved this so much and feel your tiny space need to organise. Made me smile so much as this is my job this afternoon and all you were doing I was like - that's me. We live in a little wooden small house on a hill and we both work outdoors so the house is like winter closet - literally have to move clothes every time to sit down. Done the labels too and end up wearing the same thing when I'm home as well as it's warm and easy 😂 we spent yesterday trying to work out storage solutions and still nooo idea what the best is but every little bit helps refine the system and makes its work more doesn't it so little wins. been following you for so long and just feel you are such a beautiful resilient little family. Hope you have such a peaceful rest of week and everything clicks into place more and more for you. 🩵

I totally relate to your mess! I live in a tiny apt with my two teenagers! My 3 drawer for all my clothes and skipants etc are very difficult to keep organized. And so they are not for the most part. Hadn´t noticed the window above the kitchen
table before , the skylight. That´s great. Exciting to begin to see more of Max personality as he develops with your great support.

My house (about 950 sq ft) is both organized and not. I have a fairly good system of organizing like items in the rooms they belong in, and I've learned not to buy more than I can neatly store out of sight, except in my craft room. I use a basket system in the bathroom and the kitchen and a cube storage system in the craft room that is currently inadequate 😆. Clothing is a struggle. I want to downsize to a capsule wardrobe, but struggle mentally/emotionally with letting go of things I once thought I needed to look my best. I do have days where I can let go of my sentimental attachment to objects and have rarely regretted giving anything away. If you are familiar with The Home Edit you might get some good tips from watching them that you can adapt to your own space. Good luck, it's always worth the effort.

I am a compelete novice I have no knowledge or experience, but recently went back to watch your very first videos and was so inspried by Max's fermented bread bakery in Peru (how full circle to see Max's name right at the beginning of your vidoes!) and am really interested in the health benefits for our bodies and the artisan (ancient wisdom) we used to have - in all areas, not just food. I'm interedted in herbalism too. Looking forward to more fermentation content! Love you guys

Hi, as your son grows, you may want to have a daughter and more children, your needs grow, so will the space need to grow. Eventually, you will need a good size pantry to store all your preserved food you make. A good size freezer a good size refrigerator. A good size closet to store your cooking and utensils supply. You will also need a good size sleeping quarters as you son gets older and you will need privacy. The good thing is that you have a big enough piece of land with plenty room to grow.

I love that color on you. I see more color in your cheeks and your face looks healthier. I'm glad you are listening to what you're body needs food wise and acting on it.

hun, put a lock on your storage. Unless you like cleaning up your child's mess each & every single day. If he can't get in it he can't throw it everywhere. No brainer.

Girl, Lou better build you a hanging rod ASAP! yes yes yes to hanging clothes. I’m not talking fancy clothes, just your regular ole daily clothes. Even a small rod. Get yourself out of those deep cubby boxes where you can’t see anything!! I’m not saying you needs lots of clothes, on the contrary. But what you do have - hang up!

I just made a comment in a previous video. You still do not have a table and chairs in the kitchen. Lou can make a DIY foldable table and 2 chairs and hang them on the wall opposite to the oven. You still sit on the floor when you take a meal, it is important now to sit together on a table with Max as a family. ❤❤👨‍👩‍👦

I'm assuming you're still breastfeeding and hope once you wean Max that you and Lou sleep together. Max can sleep in that crib next to the drawers below. It would teach him more independence and stimulate his imagination imo.
All tiny houses benefit from pull down tables (off the wall). One is needed in the kitchen for family eating and food prep. One is needed in each of the other 2 containers for workspace (folding laundry, makeshift craft table etc.) Or to change diapers too.
There are fold down hanging clothes racks too. You have loads of unused wall space. You'd benefit from using it to its full potential. I truly cant believe y'all have no little kitchen table with folding or stacking chairs. The coat rack is a beginning.

I don't know if it's just me, but you kinda look and sound a bit like Miley Cyrus.
