Kudos to you and your daughter for saving all of those beautiful vintage toys for future generations to appreciate Bill. I was born in '64, so I remember having a lot of those toys as a kid growing up in Toronto. - Dave
When I entered the Navy in the early 70's I had several mint Tonka trucks and four Buddy L trucks. As a young kid I worshipped these trucks. When I got out my mom told me that she had given them all away! My Tonkas were from the early 60's . I was hoping to sell them and watch them turn green from orange and red! Nice haul!
I enjoyed the live stream, Bill! You find the most interesting things! I grew up playing with Tonkas, and my kids did, too. Congrats on the awesome finds!
Nice score! I remember having at least a few of those as a kid, especially the grader and dozer/digger. Awesome job saving all that treasure from the scrap heap!👍
Fun picking, you two had! Brings back memories of going to the dump with my dad back in the 70s and coming back with more stuff than we brought there. My mother was always furious with him. LOL. Thanks to the dump, we had 5 working lawnmowers (dad fixed them) to choose from every time it was time to mow. My brother always had Tonka trucks.
@@DigFellasTV You're welcome! Love your videos, Bill, and love that you are raising your daughter by your side. She will have a lot of great childhood memories!
Awesome score Bill, always have to keep an eye open, there's money everywhere, you just have to get out and find it. I'm glad you went back for more, rather see them in the hands of collectors, instead of being scrapped
Holy crap !!!!!!!! What a find. My brother collects those and still has originals he got when he was a kid still in the box. My question is, where did they all come from originally ? Wow
Golly Nedd I reckon. Some body going to junk them . That's sad . Glad you were able to save some . There would have been no way I could have left any behind. I'd made the gentleman an offer he couldn't refuse. I have always wanted a big bulldozer all my life . I never had one . I'm 53 and still looking. Not going to pay a bunch of money cuz I don't have it . When I was a kid or now. Been keeping an eye on the dumpsters and flea markets . Total awesome brother man. So much fun just watching yall . Thank you for sharing.
Truck at 9:55 is a REMCO Caterpillar 785. It was an actually licensed piece based off of the real machine. They also made a smaller 6-inch long version.
Everybody keeps saying that, but the scrap guy started catching on & wanted more $$ each time. He said $5 each originally & I took the best ones. In hindsight, I didn't know rusty ones & parts had value too........
What a great score for you guys, it's like finding money in the trash. You might like to check out a Tonka vs Buddy L review i recently posted on my channel, thanks.
You would be doing him a big favor to take all those wheels and axles scrap metal is worth more when there’s no plastic. Most of the glass smokestacks and other accessories will pop right off

Me too -I should have added photos of me as a kid in my sandbox!
I used to play with these in a sandpit. I still remember how sharp and pinchable they were.
That's true- i forgot that :)
There is scrap yard near me that takes all the tonkas and displays them at the office
