I know it did seem random, but that made it feel somewhat realistic to me as she was not the only victim and it wasn't just the main character who lost someone. It was a really well done part of the story in my opinion
I absolutely loved this story despite how sad it ended.
Fujimoto is insanely dedicated and passionate in this medium. This man rose the bar for one-shots and even made another 100+ page one-shot that told another unique and compelling narrative. Regardless of what creative medium you fall into, Fujimoto deserves the respect for his consistency and his quality of writing/producing works.

this is also largely about the KyoAni attack a few years back. i think this was released on the anniversary of it.

Fujimoto really put something like onion in that one shot. It's so damn good, I'm not good to make a word, it's just insane how fujimoto draw like you said, raw emotion, when i read the dancing in the rain part, hell man i don't what word i need to use, it's sad? Happy? idk it's just so good

Look Back was beautiful. I'd like to hear your thought on Goodbye, Eri. I just read it recently and I think it's one of the most beautiful as it was sad story I've known so far. It took me more time to digest than Look Back. It's too good for a manga

The door from csm is drawn by kyomoto which is interesting because of as u mentioned kyomoto and fujino make fujimoto it’s almost saying that they are tatsuki fujimoto themselves as they went on to create csm… as well as the fact that the two artists in the series kinda made a pen name of kyo fujino which brings the question of is tatsuki fujimoto just a pen name…. Ahahaha but I’m getting ahead of myself I don’t believe any of this but it’s a theory and it’s plenty interesting
