Yay! Finally a new video. Anyway I got some news. I will be fully inactive both on youtube and discord since I have exams coming up for the next week. Enjoy this video here!
It's important to note that Japan wouldn't had surrendered because of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. A common misconception is that the nuclear bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki caused Japanese surrender. The Japanese were already considering surrender-- and did surrender because of the Soviet invasion of Manchuria. The Japanese were very much willing to withstand the deaths of hundreds of thousands due to the nuclear bombs, but not deal with the triumphing Soviet invasion.
That is wrong, The Japanese generals and commanders first said the Americans have bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki and they thought the third one may drop on Tokyo, you would have seen this video right here, that is how i prove it: Search Nagasaki Bomb and Surrender of Japan.
@@VanoEditz937 the generals didnt care if another city was nuked, they did not care about the people, they just wanted to win the war. But with the invasion of manchuria they thought it would be better to surrender now than to fall under soviet influence.
@@gunnarfranzen9166 With invasion of Manchuria their morality was crippled, a nuke on Tokyo would destroy Imperial family and they were scared of it and wanted to avoid the death of Emperor Hirohito, so they had to surrender.
I think that since this plan revolved around re-arming the German war machine, concessions or at least the return of divided land from world war 2 would be given back to Germany due to their part in the the war. I'd imagine the Rhine, Holstein, and Pomerania would be given back, while I'm on the fence about Konigsberg, probably northern Konigsberg (what Russia owns today) would be given back as it had a German majority at that time, while the southern enclave would be given to the polish as they had a majority in that half at that time too. Poland I'd imagine would get southwestern Ukraine and Silesia, but I'm not convinced the allies would give them their Belarusian and Northwestern Ukrainian territories back due to America's self determination policies.
Since the Soviet Union dissolved early in this timeline does that mean there would be no Cold War? Also since the Soviet Union was preoccupied in Europe in this timeline does that mean the Nationalists would have won the Chinese Civil War?
I think is not as easy as you show this. Why the allies got several nukes?, only the 2 used in Japan taked around 6-8 months to manufacturate. Not to mention the high cost of doing a single atomic bomb in that timeline. And even if they used, I counted 4 detonations, the radiation wind must be a stopper for the alied troops too and the rest of Europe will suffer the consequences.
Yes however the Soviets did not have the capability or morale to fight a war against the United States which was an ocean away and had endless industrial capabilities which would churn out thousands of tanks, plane, artillery with hundreds of thousands of fresh Americans on the way.
I haven't watched your videos in a while and whoa your animation has gotten really good. Glad this scenario didn't happen, all the nukes being dropped makes the west the bad guys here.
I doubt they would start nuking those cities willy-nilly, they only nuked Japan to make them surrender so the war wouldnt drag on (ultimately the Soviet invasion of Manchuria would do that but thats a story for another time), thdy would only thimk of it if the Soviets got to the Rhein. Also i dont think Yugoslavia was in the Warsaw pact, coming from, a literal Serb, who learned it in history class, so i dont think NATO would invade us

The 2nd World War disproportionately affected the Soviets. Anywhere from 27-40 million Soviets died in WW2. The ex-soviet states still haven't recovered to this day from such a loss. They were running low on men. The Allies with better tech and logistics would've steamrolled the USSR especially since the Soviets didn't get nukes yet
I think that the Soviets would definitely finish off the allies in this timeline, in addition to the fact that the Soviets had an army twice as large as the Allied army combined, thus having 11,000,000 soldiers, they were the country that produced the most tanks, having a lot of manpower to do it. Not to mention that with the allies at war with the USSR, the Empire of Japan would not surrender with the bombs of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, as they only surrendered for not having more allies like Germany and Italy. And finally, regarding the range of the bombs, the atomic bombs of the time were not like those of today that are attached to missiles, they needed to be transported in planes or balloons, and with all the size of the USSR they would not be able to bomb Minsk, because Soviet aviation would shoot down these planes before they reached the city.
