Hi, great video thanks. Can you confirm how I turn the timer off completely? I'd rather use the thermostat manually without it coming on and off at set times. Thanks, Bobby
Hi Bobby, Easiest way is to switch to frost mode. It will then not come on unless the temp drops below 5 degrees which gives you a safety policy, but htis also allows you to run it manually, up and down with the arrows to bring it on and turn it off. Franticly precise instructions, thanks for this info ! I've been confused as to why my new boiler was making my radiators hot over night, between set times for the heating to be on... turns out it was the off temperature, so you've saved me further confusion and probably a fair amount on my future energy bills ! If only the company that installed my new heating system had taken the time to explain three months ago !
This video is so easy to follow and can set my timers thank you. My one issue is that the thermostat isnt giving a true temp reading. Its freezing cold yet saying temp is at 18/19 which no way it can be. I have to select my temp at 21 but its to warm for us at that temp.
Hi Kathryn, I have had this recently with one of these stats. It was on one of my New Build sites and was within two years warranty so I changed it out so as not to have a possible return and unhappy customer. It may be worthwhile trying a reset on the stat. This may well work for you as I didn't really have the option to test'to see if it did. Let me know how you get on Regards Roger Please like and Subscribe
Think we have a similar problem! Had to turn it up to 20c this am and it couldn't have been more than ?15c in the house. Wish I had a room thermometer.
Thank you indeed. In the past I have had to turn the whole system off piecemeal when the warmer weather arrives - your pointing out the frost setting means I can just set that and leave it until autumn.
dmc12gsr Hi, with two stats I would imagine they are hard wired stats and not RF stats (wireless version which may need reconnecting). Is the flame symbol coming on when you demand heat, if so I would be looking at the zone valve. The stat when it is calling for heat then sends power to the zone valve which then in turn sends power for the boiler to fire up. Try switching the zone valve to manual, I suspect you may need a new zone valve head. Hope this helps Regards Roger Please like and Subscribe
My house temperature is 30 !!! I tried to change the temperature but it doesn't work, the target is 5 but the room temperature keep staying between 29-30. And it's September in England. How to make it works ? As I don't see the heating s actually on but the room temperature is too high .
isabel lu Is the flame symbol showing on your stat? If you have no flame symbol and the boiler is firing sounds like a problem elsewhere. Does your system have two zones? Ie two stats one upstairs one downstairs? If so could be either a zone valve is locked open manually or faulty causing your boiler to fire constantly. Come back to me on these and I will try and help you out regards Roger www.cparkinson.com
@@theheatingpro Hi there, we like to put our's on manually. When I put my rads on, the flame on the timer only seems to come at 21.5 to 22. How can I adjust this for a lower temp please?
@@flasheart3817 Hi Tricky, You are most likely already over the temperature you want to set. Press + and - buttons together to get the actual room temperature. If the flame symbol is on it is calling for the boiler and rads to come on. 100% yes. thats exactly what its for, just gives you peace of mind in case the temps plummet. Hope the temps dont plummet where you are going and you have a great break
Simple, steady and informative. Perfect thanks. Have you thought about branching into flat pack wardrobe instructions? 😆 Cheers! All sorted for the winter
Haha, sadly I do enjoy the challenge of a good flat pack. Not sure that I could put the video together though. Thanks for the kind words much appreciated 👍
Thanks for the video. We currently have a problem with ours. For no clear reason, the screen now flashes between 10:00 with 00 in the little temperature section, and 03:00 with sr in the little temperature section. No matter what is pressed, even if we hit reset, change the batteries, hold buttons down or whatever it will not move off this flashing screen. As far as we can tell the heating is no longer being controlled by this stat.
FilmsRapidFire Hi, sounds like you have either entered the advanced settings or have a service interval set on it. The best way to try and clear it if it is a change of advanced settings is to perform a full reset. To do this you need to press and hold prog button then the reset. It will clear all event times and any advanced user settings. Hope this helps Regards Roger Please like and Subscribe
theheatingpro.com hi there. Thanks for replying so quickly! I have tried holding Prog and Reset for anywhere between 3 and 10 seconds and nothing seems to change. The screen goes off and then when I release the buttons it goes back to flashing what I said above. I’ve tried holding reset and either or both of the up and down arrows. Holding both plus and minus buttons. Almost every button combo you can think of. The only button combo that seems to do anything is holding both up and down arrows for 5 or so seconds. Then the screen displays dimmed versions all icons at once. Occasionally it will switch to showing the current room temperature along with what looks like a little suitcase icon just left of the top-centre. It’s doing some weird stuff!
Hi great video thanks so much. I was wondering if you knew how to change it if the control panel is saying it’s Sunday but it’s Tuesday? Thanks in advance
Hi Georgina, Take a look through my videos there is one for setting up the time and date, this will sort it out for you Regards Roger @theheatingpro Please Like & Subscribe
Thank u for the video so much more helpful than the bloody booklet. I have a flame and a house on my top right side of the control panel. Whars it mean ? Thank you in advance
Hi Alison, Flame means your stat is calling for heat from your boiler. Little house means you are in room temp setting on the display. Regards Roger @theheatingpro Please Like & Subscribe
I’ve just moved house and this is the new system, I didn’t have a clue but have a better idea now. The only thing I’m still wondering is one of the thermostats in the upstairs room keeps beeping now and again, no idea why or how to stop it
Hi Kyle, Sounds like it may have a service interval set up. Is it rented accommodation as this would be really the only time an installer would set it up. If so you would need to contact the landlord Hope this helps Regards Roger @theheatingpro.com Please Like & Subscribe
ken abnett Hi ken, yes just simply press up arrow to desired temp. This will then stay on until next prog event or if you press down arrow to take temp below actual room temp Regards Roger
So glad I found this video as instruction booklet bit misleading, however, thankfully with your easy to follow instructions I finally understand how simple it is to programme correctly. It's just a shame that I have 2 of these thermostats in a very small apartment so it's going to take a few days to tweak the correct temperatures for each zone but will get there in the end. Thank you.
Hi, Set in frost/manual mode is the fastest way to do this. Press up and down arrows together and it will come up with frost symbol and 5 degrees. This will now ignore all times and temps. You can just press up arrow when you want heating on and down when you want it off like a non programmable stat. Regards Roger @theheatingpro Please Like & Subscribe
Hi, when I do this and press up the heating doesn’t come on and the first sign disappears…it just shows 5.5 is that supposed to happen? Your help would be really appreciated. We have a little one in the house and the heating is acting up a lot!
@171samirabubakar7 Hi, does your screen show the two temperature numbers big and small? Or just simply the one number 5.5? Which boiler do you have? May help with getting to the bottom of it

Cheers! All sorted for the winter
Haha, sadly I do enjoy the challenge of a good flat pack. Not sure that I could put the video together though. Thanks for the kind words much appreciated 👍
Very good explanation, short and clear, Thank you 👍
Glad it was helpful!
Hello,
Thanks to your video and your answers in comments, we are now able to use correctly our stuff.
Thanks a lot !
French guy
This is brilliant and really well explained thank you
Thanks so kind of you to say
Thank you very much Roger this was very useful and helpful🙏
You are very welcome
this helped out alot very easy to understand and even though my model is slightly different it had the same type of programming so easy to use.
Hope this helps

theheatingpro.com hi there.
Really helpful thanks for taking the time to make this video
Ho could u plzz tell me when i press the 3 program it appears flashing sat and sun??

Helpful, thanks. What does the little house symbol on the right hand side mean?
Hi Ian,
Just means that you are in the Room Temp setting. No other function with it

Rady Gart Your welcome Sir
Thank u for the video so much more helpful than the bloody booklet.
I have a flame and a house on my top right side of the control panel.
Whars it mean ?
Thank you in advance
Hi Alison,
Flame means your stat is calling for heat from your boiler. Little house means you are in room temp setting on the display.

I’ve just moved house and this is the new system, I didn’t have a clue but have a better idea now. The only thing I’m still wondering is one of the thermostats in the upstairs room keeps beeping now and again, no idea why or how to stop it
Hi Kyle,
Sounds like it may have a service interval set up. Is it rented accommodation as this would be really the only time an installer would set it up. If so you would need to contact the landlord
Hope this helps

Helpful video but one question is there an override shortcut to put the heating on outside of the times set.
ken abnett Hi ken, yes just simply press up arrow to desired temp. This will then stay on until next prog event or if you press down arrow to take temp below actual room temp Regards Roger
CParkinsonBuryLtd thank you
Much easier than their instructions! Top man 👏💪

Hello, thank you so much for your video. What happens when we want the heating off (summer time)
Thanks a lot. This video is very helpful
Thanks Sarah appreciate the kind comment
So glad I found this video as instruction booklet bit misleading, however, thankfully with your easy to follow instructions I finally understand how simple it is to programme correctly. It's just a shame that I have 2 of these thermostats in a very small apartment so it's going to take a few days to tweak the correct temperatures for each zone but will get there in the end. Thank you.
Good video. Please can you advise how to turn the timings off?
May help with getting to the bottom of it
Thank you so much for sharing this. Very easy to understand. Have subscribed!🙂
Awesome, thank you!
Thank you for the instructions. I reduced the temperature on my thermostat earlier in the year to 8 degrees. Unfortunately I can’t put the temperature up any more. Do you have any idea what I have done and how I can rectify it? Thank you, look forward to hearing from you. It’s getting a bit chilly without the heating 🥶
Hi great video..need help...room temp on upstairs and downstairs unit constantly sat at 17c ..its November and it's not 17c in house..now need heating for winter? Are the units broken??? Thank you
Hi Scott, Unlikely to hae issues with two at the same time so guess it is a change of setting required. What does your display show?
