I don't know how manufacturer's are allowed to do this and yet driver's are prosecuted for using their phones. Every time I rent a new car with these touch controls it makes me realise how dangerous they are and how much easier my traditional dials and buttons are to use in my own car.
I really don’t know what the designers are thinking off on the new BMWS, doesn’t even look like a bmw and no physical buttons on the dashboard which is such a distraction when driving, and no spare wheel absolutely madness.
This is a genuine question but what is the fascination with placing all the controls into a large touchscreen tablet as opposed to around 3 buttons? Is it a cost consideration?
I've seen them in three colours mat grey purple and a deep blue. And also in silver and they look really nice I think it's just a case of seeing them in the metal. I wanted to really hate it. But it's better than I thought
My condolences. I hope you don't get too annoyed by all the speed warnings and "driver assistance" tech binging and bonging and flashing at you all day long.
So when customers asked for ditching the piano black from the interior now they gave us the gloss black exterior parts , how they look over time needs to be seen but I am not any positive.
@Chris-hy6jy yeah there impossible to get used too aren't they.. don't get me wrong the bmw voice assistant is really good but not if you have a car full of people or your music on.
Wow what a massive step back in essentially every area. Its design is both generic and overly fussy at the same time. It’s only an LCI so won’t offer any great advances in driver enjoyment, whilst being down in power against the old model (while its rivals are all getting faster), but the WORST aspect is that ridiculous decision to move the heater etc controls to touchscreen, which at best is annoying, at worse it’s downright dangerous. At the same time, this new version would cost me 9k more for a like for like spec vs the F40 version. I feel so sorry for any BMW salesperson who has to try and sell this thing. Personally I have owned 7 BMWs but I fear my current F40 m135i will be my last one.
placing all the controls on the touchscreen is so dangerous its worse than talking or texting on you're mobile phone ffs

Exactly mate.. think it worse than using your phone!
Controversial front grill but cool interior and superb rear design

I don't get it myself.. its the same as using your phone!!

It’s much cheaper than having physical buttons / controls
Nice
Looks like a focus

can we get a deep dive on the one with the m performance kit on it in the background?!?!
Indeed you can, that video is coming on Wednesday. 😁

Totally agree! It needs to be seen in the metal.
@@SytnerTVbut the sticking point for me is them wheels are horrible and the price of 56k is a lot
Dynamic pack gets you the wheels that look much better…
@@GBFeb72I did see some from the performance site they was multi spoke and in gloss black. They looked nicer.

My condolences. I hope you don't get too annoyed by all the speed warnings and "driver assistance" tech binging and bonging and flashing at you all day long.

Are you sure it's the “storm bay metallic”? in the video it looks more blue than grey...
Yes it is 100% Storm Bay metallic, the camera can make it look more blue.
No I drive controller. It's a no from me
Agreed. I won't be buying any new BMW that has a touch screen instead of physical controls. It's just dangerous.
@Chris-hy6jy yeah there impossible to get used too aren't they.. don't get me wrong the bmw voice assistant is really good but not if you have a car full of people or your music on.
What does “cool” mean
Having just seen the 135 in the flesh I’m very happy… a major improvement on my F40 and years ahead of the F20 antique…
Glad you like it!
The BMW Mazda 3...

i’m done with 1 series!! looks like a kia !! just horrible ☹️
Looks like a kia?
I had an m135i that would now be 10 years old, and it would have more power then this thing? Talk about making a step backwards
Looks like a Kia
Stop saying awesome, you are not American.
