The M140i will always be the king of the 1 series. You get so much more for your money and it’s a pure hot hatchback. The f40 it’s just to sensible it’s a hatchback for grown-ups.

Apparently bmw made an m140i with Xdrive but it wasn’t available in the UK where i live, this is the king of the 1 series in my opinion, if i cannot have this version then I’m sticking with my F40 135i

At 100-200 range speeds aerodynamics play a significant factor. Should see how exactly looked each of the cars that were measured. For example, simply a slightly larger spoiler can significantly decrease high speed performance.
Cause the clubsport is FWD and thus lighter, and additionally most likely with VW group press cars, it comes with some "extra spark" and not only 300hp 🙄

RWD, even access to 6 cylinders, i can understand why they stopped doing that. no other competitor was/is doing that and it probably costs some money but then on the other hand, why buy a modern 1 series over a Golf? VW has done a really good job with their Golf GTIs/Rs

One positive fact is they dropped the Aisin TQ gearbox and replaced it with a DCT. But I still don't like the car at all.
