Jordi is such a smart ass. Really doesn't extract the best out of the riders from what I've seen. If Jordi knew what he was talking about he would encourage the riders and give them the language to describe what they are feeling. Without data, feelings and a clock are all they have to setup a bike. I think Loris should talk to his mate Loic about what professional suspension engineering support looks like.
I agree with you here. Teach the riders about suspension and the proper language used to explain it so they can better communicate what they are feeling and what they want from the bike. The lack of communication just goes in circles and doesn't go anywhere. Some education on suspension and set up for the riders would be beneficial for both parties.
This is possibly the funniest mtn bike video I've ever watched. From past videos it seems like Greg is really picky, but at least he knows what he wants? Loris on the other hand... bless his heart... Me being old and slow = I set it to middle of the recommended settings and never touch them again.

Very interesting discussions, keep it coming! Loris receives too much kick from the damper on small stuff, positions him forward much, wants to slow down rebound to avoid it. BSR was already slowed down with the firmer spring, Jordi feels it’s wrong to go further (traction suffers). Lighter Spring bottoms Loris out. Now Jordi recommends more HSC (in the back to firm, avoid too much use of travel probably, and in the front to avoid diving too which gives the forward feel). This also explains why HSC dials always make sense.
I would suggest Lori's to write everything down he feels on the bike, he looks like he has got a lot going through his head ( bike handling stuff) and Jordi should do a customer service course or get a kick up the arse...... But what I do know. Lori's should do mock commentaries too though!
I think Loris could fair well from the placebo effect - If he believes suspension changes have happened he will perform. I also think Jordi could do exactly what Loris asks and let the Pro rider decide what makes a bike go fast.

Honestly though, Loris has a concern with the way the bike rides, the team needs to get to the bottom of why - even if it turns out the bike is the wrong size, Loris isn't riding it right or, heaven forbid, the suspension isn't working properly.

HSC doesnt change your bottom out force, it just means you are using the LSC a bit longer. I think loris just had 2 psi too much in his front tire ;D
