Thanks for the info. When printing the object in petg and using pla as the transition did you have to change any settings such as bed temp or nozzle temp? My pla continues to get stuck in the extruder. I see the temp drop from 260 to 220. I assume this causes the pla to weld to the nozzle with any residue of petg.
No settings changes needed as long as you've told the ams it's petg and you've selected pla for the main material. Give it a try with a second pla set as the interface tips. Like if you're printing pla in black make the interface any other color. See if this still causes the same issue. Then you'll know if the extruder is having some sort of issue.
@@davetriesthis I have the Bambu A1 and the X1-Carbon. When I try do print, after doing what you said, it tells me that you can only use the same type of filament on the file.
Great video, felt it was valuable without over extending on the topic for a newbie like me. Commenting for the algo gods!
Thank you so much, that means a lot to me. You just made my day.
Thank you! I recently upgraded to a Bambu X1 Carbon and have been trying to find the setting in their slicer software for a while.
Oh, I'm glad that this video was able to help! Enjoy your printer!
Question!!!! Do you have to use the support material everywhere or can you select a specific spot for it?
You can "paint" supports on or off using slicers like Orca, Bambu and Prusa.

What an amazing tip! No pun intended.
Thanks! Glad it helped.
My machine will not allow the use of two different types of filaments to be used. Is there a work around for this?
What do you mean won't allow? What machines?

Never mind, this time it didn't complain. SMH
