- This is a video from the 2009 PCA race at Putnam Park near Indianapolis. The driver is Cory Friedman in the Autometrics Motorsports Porsche 997 gt3 cup. Best lap time was 1.10.6
1:22 Making easy work of car #334. You've got the gift of smooth my friend ;)
Nice outside line pass on the car in the later sprint Cory! Not much of any gradient changes ,but it looks like a fun track. You just need a move over front bumper sign to be read from their rear views.
So nice to watch. Thanks.
google it. the track record is a 1:09 on a 600 and Lewis was also on a 600.
not 2 years ago. it was in '03 junge did that. almost TEN years ago. how time flies.
I did a 1:14 there on a GSXR1100 (big heavy bike) in Superstock trim back in I think 1998. I've done lots of laps at Putnam and always had a great time. Great memories.
where were all the other 997 GT3 cup cars to keep up with him. Still a great shoe. Smooth.
This isn't even fair; Cory is simply DOMINANT!
@eagle483
Yes, just a plain old stopwatch. We use it for timing pitstops when there is a mandatory time limit.
no official lap timing system was set up when he suposedly did it. so it's not official.
it doesn't matter I was talking about you doing a 1:14.
Great job Cory! Where did everyone go after the 1st lap?
Great driving! The first corner the other car should have left you more space! Wish i could drive like this!
nice driving and nice car
yeah okay. I did a 1:14 on a stock SV 650 on sport touring tires.
an ama guy broke the track record 2 years ago with a 1:09 (Mark Junge). 600's are doing that now. get your facts straight before you run yur mouth.
@rikaussie thats a cheap basic, stopwatch ... HAHAHA
same thing I use during DE stuff :)
