I don't think the Lasombra fight was official (as you said before it's restored by the Plus Patch) and had to be hand built for the patch rather than restoring some cut content - but as a fight I thought it was pretty disappointing actually. The Lasombra didn't really do anything that might be considered 'Lasombra' short of teleporting which I suppose you could loosely subscribe to moving between shadows. It would be cool if you had to fight Arms of Ahriman, or he activated Black Carapace or do anything remotely Obtenebration (even if it had to include some serious scripting). I mean, he doesn't even Potence punch you in the gut after teleporting near you, he is content just firing his Uzi at you (I forgot what he has lol, and I just watched the fight!). At least Andrei used his Zulu form, and at least the Sheriff had the enhanced zulu of the Chiroptean Marauder.
I agree. He was basically just a "keep away" boss (teleporting away and shooting at you, which ironically makes his fight kinda challenging). As I understand, his lines are repurposed Andrei lines that were replaced later into development. Still, it's nice to at least fight him in the game, since originally we could see the Lasombra in a few select moments (always disappearing when we got close) but never got to actually interact with him.

But since we get barely no Vampire The masquerade new games, i'm happy when i see a new mod on old games.
Let the battle begin!!!

You fight him at the end of a questline restored by the Plus Patch. The quest starts by reading an email sent by Beckett.
