#iPhoneCrackedLCDlayers
In this video, I go in-depth and technical with the different layers that make an Apple iPhone LCD function. I will dissect and remove all layers and explain to you all in further detail what they do. I hope this video gives you some insight into how these LCDs are assembled and what to watch out for when handling.
Remember always mind the flex!

Awesome thx for watching!!!
Great video big bro I really appreciate the way you explain the stuff.
Glad to help
You are great man , just keep doing what you do.
Ty! I will:)
Hi, great video, and thank you for helping me understand these things
Earlier today I was walking down the staircase while looking at Discord on my iPhone, and sadly I dropped my phone on the last 2 steps. My phone went screen first into the ground, and part of the screen cracked, along with the screen having tons of White or random colored Vertical Lines
Thank you so much for helping, and keep up the great work!
Hey! Glad you found this information useful
Question for Mr Phone Doctor, I’m new to replacing curved front glass only on newer Samsung phones, are 2 in 1 OCA laminator/bubble remover with built in pump any good or should I get machines separate without any built in pumps etc? Thank you kindly Teacher.
3k subs congrats guys :)
Thx!! Standby for our giveaway:)
Hi Phone Doctor and everyone. Can the back light get damaged by removing with a blade like in this video please. Also does hone button have to be the original for fingerprint Touch ID to work please. Thankyou great video help a lot.
Can you make a video about how to install polarizer?
Hi Mr. Phone, do you think that an apple watch series 7 have the same layers on it screen? I was separating the glass from the lcd, but I accidentally removed kinda a first layer "plastic" film. I partially removed it, then I tested the touch and it worked well, so after that I remove the restant film. When I glued the new glass, nothing happens, touch does not work. So I think that "plastic" film have to make the touch work between the glass. Could you help me? I would like to know how is called that layer, or if I can replace it or something. I would aprecciate your help. Nice vid dude!
I have an old 6s that I'm thinking of turning into a DIY projector, but I doubt the stock backlight will be bright enough for a good viewing experience. I might want to use just the LCD screen with a LED flash bulb behind it. Is it possible to turn on the screen without the stock backlight plugged in?
Very valuable video. My iPhone 5 digitizer not working after dropped. but lcd is is work properly. Can i replace digitizer only without lcd ?
Thanks honestly be better to just replace entire screen. No hassle
What is the reflective part called?
I replaced my lcd a few year ago, now my lcd is slightly detached from what i believe is the backlight. The screen is still working perfectly. I go to different repair shop and they said they are afraid they might broke my lcd if they separate it from my phone and said to go to the original repairer when i changed my lcd. Is it possible to fix this?
IM INTERESTED IN FINDING THE SHADOW MASK CRT OF A PHONE.
ANYONE KNOW ?
Hello, this is a really great video. May I ask how did you remove the LCD screen from the front plastic cover of the iPhone?
Use heat plate or laser to cut off
Hey man can I have the name of the song\instrumental that starts at 3:26?
thanks.
Hi thank you for this video is really great. Please can i ask ...i have samsung s10 all displey is ok but touch screen from top 1.5cm doesn't work..rest is working well. Do you can fix that or i have to buy new displey?
Have to buy full display
hi surgeon, great takedown! much appreciated - one thing, whats the solvent your using to separate the lcd from the backlight (its shown at 5:12)? is it acetone? thanks
Ty! Iso 99 I don't recommend using any solution if you are going to reuse the parts
Hi sir,is the screen made of glass or a plastic?I'm waiting for your reply...
Hello, one question sir
Do the latest iphones xr and 11 have polarizers in them? And is it replaceable?
Same question about the 11 pro and 12 versions since they're oled?
They do but under the digitizer layer.
I’m surprised you don’t have 100k subs yet
Thx so much for the support Daniel! We just started uploading videos this year so I'm sure in time we will get there.
Mr Phone Doctor I know you will Teacher
How to clean the liquid(water) on backlight or lcd layer?
Replace back light. Not worth the trouble scrap it
Great video again. Really helped.
Slightly unrelated to this video... I own a little repair business on the Isle of Man, and was wondering if you think it would be worth buying the laser back glass removal machine? Your video on it previously looked great, but is it worth the price? Thanks in advance
Hi thank you so much for the support. It all depends on how the demand is in your country. Do you get a lot of requests for back glass?
@@MrPhoneDoctor thanks for the reply. Yes I get quite a few requests for back glass repair, but I tend to replace the entire housing as I find it easier than scraping off all of the glass. This takes a bit too much time though!
@@ninjarepair if demand is high get the machine will be well worth it.
@@MrPhoneDoctor thanks a lot!!
Some people use LOCA on iPhone 6s and 6 for glass only repairs and they work, if they were really successful and did it to iPhone 7 or 8 without LOCA seeping into LCD, would it work?
Hey yes it will work however there may be some stains that appear. Anyone using Loca has perfected the method and know how much to use without it getting between lcd and backlight
Thanks a lot, can't wait to see you hit 3 million subs!!!!!
So can all of these layers of the screen be replaced and fixed?
Yes but not worh the time and labor
Is lcd damage covered under limits warranty
By Apple? Should be as long as external has no physical damage.
Hope you have time to reply to this question!! My Iphone 11 dropped. Cracked screen & crack on back. The screen lights up asking me what language I want to proceed with but touch screen absolutely unresponsive. QUESTION: What is wrong? Local repair shop said for $140 they can repair it. I am afraid the phone is VERY broken & it will be $140 down the drain. Can you please advise? Great video & thanks for your time!
Hi. Screen will usually fix that. If they are good repair shop they should not charge you if they cannot fix
@@MrPhoneDoctor You are so kind to share your expertise -- really appreciate it! They looked at it and said that they CAN fix it -- my fear is that it might work for a month after repair & then glitch out. But you are telling me that it is a repair worth doing? Screen lights up displays set up message but no reponse to Touch and a crack in back. So worth it? Thanks again - you are the BEST!
The title promises to explain the "digitizer," but I don't see where in this dissection that component is even mentioned. Technically, the title refers to "digitizer/polarizer," which implies a single combined entity, but as far as I can tell the polarizer in this video is a passive layer, not an electronic one. You also refer to a connector for the "fingerprint sensor," which I'm assuming means the button at the bottom of most iPhones (until recently)--apparently not shown in this video. This is interesting as far as it goes, but all in all, I'm no closer to understanding which layer senses my fingers on the phone's display than I was before I watched.
Thx for watching Thomas. Hopefully in future I'll remake this using apples new oled panels
@@MrPhoneDoctor Your comment appears unrelated to my complaint that you never actually talked about the digitizer.
Are all iPhones before iPhone x have the same tech?
Yep sure are just have different areas where the flexes are attached
God bless you man!
Thanks
okay cool vlogs
Thx!
Wish we could make out own sceens😂
lcd black spot remover machine
Would apple repair it if you haven’t done anything to cause it
As long as no physical damage should. But knowing with apple its a crap shoot.
Well everybody know that the lcd of the iphones has a several layers, so, whats the point ??
Everybody knows one day will die so what's the point of living, well before i die at least i saw how the actual layers (that already knew were there) are stuck together.
It tells u what u can replace and what not.
