Will Brown EVERYTHING THEY CAME OUT WITH MUSICALLY WAS FIRE. THEY WERE SO PRECISE AND SO ON POINT IN TERMS OF WHAT IS GOING ON IN THE WORLD. I KNOW THIS GROUP HAS AN OUTSTANDING FAN BASE. LOVE THEM TO TEARS.
I'm a big fan of Jane Eugene. That Sista's soul vibe is STRONG and her confidence is beyond amazing. Same with Soul II Soul's Caron Wheeler. Nothing in this world trumps a TRUE Soul Sista. #MuchRespect
I first heard of Lose Ends in 1985 with the song Hanging on a String and then later on Slow Down and Watching You, love their music very smooth and different, the UK made it big here and Jane is my girl her voice reminds me a lot of PhylIis Hyman, miss you Lose Ends
Exactly. I said the same thing, cause I remember when I was in High School back in 1985 I heard Hanging on a String. She really needs to correct herself
Just saying that the song wasn't released anywhere until 1985. I supported Jane and the band from their first single in the UK so I won't 'take notes' I'm afraid, merely making a comment.
Jane recognized early on in Loose Ends music career it was the US fans that truly embraced their music. I remember her saying this on Soul Train back in the day.
lordmaul3 : It's true, they were never recognised by mainstream U K whose attention were focused on less talented boy bands. I guess they were too urban for the Brits.
Jane Eugene(Especially on "Sweetest Pain") is an Untouchable Seductive Songstress my second Choice would be Mica Paris( These two ladies didn't just sing the songs...they made you believe that they felt the words they sang).
Im always peeved of the fact that this woman never made any solo albums, she definitely has the voice, look and star quality that stood out that she could've easily made it as a successful solo artist working with grammy winning producers, Jam & Lewis especially. Someone said after the switch up with the group back in 90 she was only reduced to working as a secretary at the A&R department at MCA,I don't know how true it is tho, sound like she was blackballed and there was tension in the group with her and Carl McIntosh.TV One we need the exact true story of this great group, still waiting.
THE SISTER JANE EUGENE IS A NATURALLY WICKED SINGER AND THE BEST FEMALE SINGER TO EVER DO IT IN LOOSE ENDS AND IN MY OPINION THE BEST FEMALE SOUL SINGER BRITAIN HAS EVER PRODUCED, AND WE HAVE HAD A LOT OF GREAT FEMALE SOUL SINGERS IN BRITAIN BUT I DON'T THINK NO ONE WOULD DISAGREE WITH ME WHEN I'M SAYING THIS BECAUSE WHEN IT COMES TO SOUL MUSIC JANE EUGENE IS 100% PURE SOUL AND THAT'S WHY SHE IS THE BEST, NUFF SAID✌😎
@230. ummm please know that this music is STILL LASTING.. WE WANT TO SEE YOU! i caught on to the loose string in properly while in college. Thank you for making my experience different!
Actually Loose Ends DID write a Phyllis Hyman song: "Ain't You Had Enough Love" ua-cam.com/video/FrJfdNNTeqQd/v-deo.html27 Written by Jane Eugene, Carl McIntosh, Steve Nichol = Loose Ends
My OPINION, one of THE GREATEST GROUPS OF ALL TIME!! They were AHEAD OF THEIR TIME!!
I agree!

LEGENDARY GROUP!!!
She is natural beauty, class and talent!
I'm a big fan of Jane Eugene. That Sista's soul vibe is STRONG and her confidence is beyond amazing. Same with Soul II Soul's Caron Wheeler. Nothing in this world trumps a TRUE Soul Sista.

Mine is The System, followed by the Cool Notes, but Loose Ends is in my top 5 for sure.

Great singer, great band! Funny that Jane got the release date for Hangin' on a String wrong! ('85 not '82 dear Ms Eugene!)
Exactly. I said the same thing, cause I remember when I was in High School back in 1985 I heard Hanging on a String. She really needs to correct herself
UK and USA had different release dates.
The album lists were different too !!!
kidbean1 Exactly, let the artist tel the story, Nick Gray take notes.
Just saying that the song wasn't released anywhere until 1985. I supported Jane and the band from their first single in the UK so I won't 'take notes' I'm afraid, merely making a comment.
Nick Gray Your right Nick she got it wrong on that track with that year
Their music was a combination of all genres...A perfect blend topped by Ms. Eugen's powerful vocals!
But it was unbelievably soulful, had alot of funk and jazz elements, the instrumental "A Little Spice" was so smooth, funky and jazzy.
Jane recognized early on in Loose Ends music career it was the US fans that truly embraced their music. I remember her saying this on Soul Train back in the day.

2:03 "....we never did New York proppuh" Damn, I love British accents so much ! 😏 I've been a fan of Loose Ends since I was about 8 or 9
THE SISTER JANE EUGENE IS A NATURALLY WICKED SINGER AND THE BEST FEMALE SINGER TO EVER DO IT IN LOOSE ENDS AND IN MY OPINION THE BEST FEMALE SOUL SINGER BRITAIN HAS EVER PRODUCED, AND WE HAVE HAD A LOT OF GREAT FEMALE SOUL SINGERS IN BRITAIN BUT I DON'T THINK NO ONE WOULD DISAGREE WITH ME WHEN I'M SAYING THIS BECAUSE WHEN IT COMES TO SOUL MUSIC JANE EUGENE IS 100% PURE SOUL AND THAT'S WHY SHE IS THE BEST, NUFF SAID✌😎
I could have sworn, "Hangin on a String" was a huge hit Spring of 85.🤔
Right? I'm confused.... I remember It being a hit too In 1985. That was the very first time I ever heard of Loose Ends.
She got it wrong 1 million%...1985 it was
Recorded 1984 released later in the year UK, 1985 release in USA I think
I remember when Jane used to turn up for rehearsals on a moped, which was a site to behold.
I looooove Loose Ends
Nikki is my nickname I love you!!!haha
Do you know how much I wanna scream 😂
Yesss I buy their stuffffff😊
Gorgeous Sister 👍🏾
LOVE HER, AND HER VOICE, MORE THAN ANY OTHER FEMALE SINGERS.....

"I'm anticipating love with yoooo oou!" i been digging on her since 87.
@230. ummm please know that this music is STILL LASTING.. WE WANT TO SEE YOU! i caught on to the loose string in properly while in college. Thank you for making my experience different!
Loose ends are my group bebe
Loose Ends, the story of my life.
They are an amazing band. I wish they could have wrote songs for Phyllis Hyman before she passed.
Ironically, their producer (Nick Martinelli) wrote and produced tracks on Phyllis Hyman's 1986 album "Living All Alone".
Actually Loose Ends DID write a Phyllis Hyman song: "Ain't You Had Enough Love" ua-cam.com/video/FrJfdNNTeqQd/v-deo.html27

Aint you had enough love, is a loose ends production.
I love (bowlegged) Jane Eugene...go look at the video hanging on a string...hey Jane 💞🌹🌹💞😍
Thought hanging on a string was a UK hit in '85!
It was both the UK and US but first recorded in late 84.
Damn!, you still find too babygirl...And I hope so bad that y'all come back, But!, with the original band though....
Carla Linton. I'm a Big Fan of The Loose Ends.
This woman 60 y’all and dam she looks good
Fine chocolate woman(KISSSES)!!!!!!!!!!!!! :))
It is sooo obvious that the "Host" is distracted and doesn't really care what the Guest has to say!! Sad....
The Red Parrot....those were the says.
Father say that Ms Tomas has a dirty mind,,, but dont ask him how he knows,,,,
It really pisses me off when people refer to the UK as just "England". The rest of the UK bought your records too Jane. Hmmmmph!
i guess she lives in the US as she's picked up accent, wish the original line up would reform.
Jane sure didn't sound British.
why is she putting on that fake American accent?
She probably lost the accent
English accent
But I can still hear it tho a little
She from the u.k....
Not fake...Still British but some American mixed in...
