My hometwon does something similar, a yearly reenactment of a feud over the town from 1444-1449. It's the Soester Fehde or Feud of Soest. Greetings from Westphalia, Germany. The paramedics recently trained how to remove the armor from a wounded or unconcious soldier showing again: Safety is most important when reenacting things.
I saw Shad do a triple backflip onto the dragon's head and strike down tombstone-style with his mighty claymore to finish the beast off

Oh look! me!
Thank u Shad
Last year I went to the Colorado renecance fair, and I loved it! Thank you for all you do, this is my favorite thing ever
I actually went to the Colorado Ren Fair earlier in July. I had a blast!
Can we maybe get a video including Shadiversity editor in some way? Would be fun to hear what he has to say about working with Shad etc
Thanks for the AMAZING footage Shad! Your exploding presentation makes me feel like I was right there at the festival!
I wasn't even there and I can attest to this dragon attack. It was glorious and many fought valiantly to achieve such a victory
Cant remember how i first discovered your channel, Shad but so glad i did. Love your infectious enthusiasm and this vid was just ...lovely. machicolations!!! And many thanks.
Ps. Can not for the life of me understand why anyone would give this vid a thumbs down. Weird.
I attended Pennsic one year and there was so, so much to see. And I was there for three days!
Didn't see a tenth of it.
And I wasn't even a celebrity.
Fun times, glad Shad had fun at Abbey Medieval Festival! Looked even more exciting... they had horses!
MACHICULATIOOOONNNSA!
That was cool! Looking forward to see Shad touring in Europe with this show
Shad Brooks. Knight of Everfall and Lord of Honorguard has graced his subjects with his presence and that is a right of passage for a lord of a castle.
Hope to see you in the US one day Shad! You're always welcome!
You are undoubtedly my favorite UA-cam channel and role model. I greatly enjoyed this!
How cool! I live in Detroit, our local version of this is the Michigan Renaissance Festival, held every weekend throughout late August and September. One of the highlights of the year!
This would have been fun to attend. Maybe one day you'll come to a festival in NSW
I live on the other side of the world and even I have heard of shads great bravery and skill while slaying the dragon
Good to hear you enjoyed the event. I've been going consistently for the better part of a decade now, and it's always fun. And you're right when it comes to the hits. I've seen warhammers break hands, a dude got his cheek cut open with an axe, it might be "safe" but it's no joke
What a brilliant day it was, and then to cap it off there was Shad and dragon slaying! And I got to go home with a sword. Thanks again Shad!
I am overwhelmed by everything in this video. I don't know what to do myself.
If you ever want to have a meet and greet in Europe I recommend the Swedish Medieval Week.
A weeklong Medieval Festival with events and performercs in the beautiful island city of Wisby, with several historical walls still standing to this day!
I would have liked to see who won the prizes. Darned dragon!
If you ever come to a UK period fest, I will be there!
Im glad that you and everybody there had a great time. Wish I was there, the Abbey Medieval Festival looks way better than Disney World in my opinion.
I went there, but unfortunately I didn't know who you were at the time, I live 20 minutes away from Caboolture. also that place is so diverse, the food shops were in a 17th century western stores!
Keep your eyes open traveler, damned dragons could swoop down anytime... Just like that one at the festival... I threw my javelin at it, and many warriors attacked it bravely, but that alone wasn't enough... Shad shouted the bastard back to oblivion
See. Now this is how you know a UA-camr loves his fans. And make great content as well
