Hi Mr T Thank you for your very useful videos. What I want to do is use results from my graphs when doing calculations in run-matrix mode. How can I copy values between modes please?
@AFreeThinker123 1) I think there is some variation across the exam boards, so best check with your teachers. Generally you are given these formulae, but not necessarily in the most user-friendly format. Personally I think it is best to memorise them in a format that is easy for you to use.2) You are expected to show sufficient method, which includes showing that you know the formulae and how to use them. It's not good enough just to tap it into your calculator and write down the answer. For A level, the right answer is not sufficient - you need to show that your answer is right! 3) I think it's reassuring in the exam to know that your graph-work is correct, and graphic calculators will generate graphs for you quickly so you can verify your work. Better that you spot an error while you still have an opportunity to do something about it. :-)
@AFreeThinker123 , I would suggest reading the manual! They used to give you a physical copy of this back in the day. I think these days they just supply it as a pdf - either on a CDROM supplied with the calculator, or most likely online. You can also take a look at some of my other videos for A level.
can you let me know how I put my fx-9750GII calculator in exam mode? I have my s1 exam tomorrow and I don't know how to enter exam mode, will the invigilators come and do it for me?
Your calculator doesn't have an exam mode. It is not capable of communication and doesnt have any features that are not allowed in the exam, so there is no need to limit its functionality. You might want to clear the memory in case you have stored something previously. You can do this by pressing something into the hole marked "restart" on the back of the device. Best of luck for S1!
You saved my term I am so grateful!!!!
Phew! Well done for persevering with it!
Thank you for the help, I had missed class and didn't know how to solve PMCC with a Casio calculator.
Glad it was helpful! I have a few more videos on using the Casio calc for stats so feel free to check those out too 😀
Thank you so much!!
You're welcome!

Legend.
Ha! Thanks 😀
Thank you so much
You're welcome! My experience is that a lot of maths teachers don't teach their students how to use their calculators, which is a bit of a shame!
Toasteh_ very appreciated, thanks
