    MY Opinion ONLY, maybe some others will have same issues though.....Ive had the Yoyo2 brandnew spent like £500 on it or more for newborn pack and 6+ (both which I had to buy seperately which was annoing in itself..ive never had to do that before?) , the newborn part was amazing, fell in LOVE with it for his first 6 months of life! Loved it, lightweight , easy to push, get in anout of the car after giving birth/having bad neck etc, honestly its a breeze, we took it to Paris with us and out 7 week old (also have an older girl and she loves to push this pram as its her height its great) Im 5ft2 so great for me also. ..suspension light not many other travel pishchairs have this so its a bonus....now when we moved up to the 6+ unit...this is when things changed for me, quite recently I transitioned (as we have a travel system for day to day) I want to take this on a long haul with us, and have been using it again..my 10 month old HATES the seat unit, as its always at an angle, it doesnt lie flat, but it also doesnt sit upright, he tips to the side, the fabric is extremely slippery. I thought it was his snow suit, but mope it was hot yesterday so he was in his normal cotton clothing and slid to the side, screamed whenever I tried to sit him up, whihc was also annoying as the straps start really far down the back and then curve upwards with the padded belt, and it just doesnt seem to fit right? Maybe I havent given it enought time due to stress and the angle of the seat. The only way I can describe it , is a bit like being strapped to the bottom of a metal slide where the slopes not quite ended yet but the end hasnt begun its somehwere inbetween. SOOO with my longhaul being 4 weeks away, I thought I cant do this to him, so i reseached some second hand ones (as spent so much on prams already) ...looked at the Bugaboo Ant...just bought it so I will do an update in about 4 weeks about how it compares to the YoYo. So far what I DO know is that the seat is both world/parent facing with option to recline fully (yes one way only) and sit fully UPRIGHT, which is what an older baby would like to do so...update soon. :)

    Assembly took about 10 minutes. Tried the ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxH6qKgszNeMi7lLzvjBifqEp-DqTXB2AG stroller with our grandson, and he loved it! It wheels effortlessly and folds simply. Length folded is about 48“ x 4“. Not sure why other reviewers are having difficulty with the canopy staying attached, but I have not had this problem. Would definitely recommend it.

    I have the bugaboo ant and what I missed this year is the breezy sun canopy which they don't seem to make for the Ant.

    Perhaps this will be useful to some, but the Bugaboo Ant is possible to push from a power wheelchair, it's also very easy to put a child into the Ant from a wheelchair because the handle can be adjusted out of the way while the seat is facing you. Also the straight handle is nice for keeping the stroller steady when pushing from a wheelchair. The Yoyo CAN seem a bit shaky when pushed from a wheelchair and the round handle can be hard to maneuver one-handed from a chair, however, disabled parents who can are walking but only have the use of one hand find the round handle of the Yoyo really helpful so be mindful of that too. They're both lightweight, which is great, but the lesser amount of steps when folding really speaks well for the Yoyo. I'm a disabled parents and I'm really torn between these two for our new baby. It's basically down to the folding, but the Ant is coming out on top in every other way for me. With more than one child you'll need to bring lots of stuff, I'm really curious of how these two come out in terms of storage and possibility to hang things on the handle.

      Lena, this feedback is so valuable. I’m thrilled to have you in the community. Sadly, I don’t know as much as I should about strollers for parents with disabilities. Please keep in touch any let us know what works for you. I imagine it can help other parents with disabilities.

    Hey Eli- loooove your videos and your wisdom! Thank you- been following you for a long time- which would you pick for a 2 year old- traveling in Europe- winter time- between the bee 5- and the YOYO? Thank you for your expertise 😎

      Thanks, Lauren!!! Both great options but I’d probably go with the Yoyo because it’s smaller but the Bee5 will push better for longer walks.

    Hello, just have a question about the newborn position of the Ant. Would you hear a “click” sound when you adjust it to the deepest recline position? Thanks

    • @elyak
      @elyak 2 роки тому

      I'm wondering that too. My seat doesn't stay put; as in, if I would lift it out of full recline, it doesn't require me to use the adjuster lever in the back. It just pops right up. Is that normal?

  • @TT76472
    @TT76472 2 роки тому

    We trialled both and prefer the Ant.
    It’s a better built quality and more ergonomic to use. Also prefer the way it packs down to be flush without sticking out in overhead lockers.
    Yoyo is a bigger seat and is quicker to reposition.

    Wish the Ant had more height for taller kids and also it the details were nicer. I don’t like the other stroller. I like the Mios, Silver Cross Jet and Wave and Thule urban glide 2 all for different functions/lifestyle. How many strollers does one actually need?

    Can I use the Ant as an every day stroller? All of the so-called every day (aka full-sized) strollers I checked out at Buy Buy Baby were too heavy (and bulky) to be constantly putting in and out of the car. If the Ant doesn't fit the bill, is there another stroller

    • @MrPikkoz
      @MrPikkoz 3 роки тому

      You can do it with the Yoyo, you need to fold the handlebar (1st step) with your two hands, then lift to carry the baby and then kneel to reach the latch to fold it down.

    • @MagicBeansVideos

    If I’m getting the car seat, could I just skip the new born attachment on baby zen yoyo? So I could just use the car seat all the time while he’s still small then move him to the 6+ months when he’s bigger?

    • @MrPikkoz
      @MrPikkoz 3 роки тому +2

      For the safety (SIDS) and comfort, a newborn needs to lie flat to allow proper breathing, they can be seated in a car seat in a near upright position for short periods and it's widely suggested no more than two hours. The only way , for what i can see it, is to get one of those car seats that can fold flat or near flat when on the pram, but as far as i know the only folding car seat compatible with the yoyo is the Cybex cloud (Q/Z).
      This is the Cybex Cloud Q reclined to near flat on a babyzen frame ua-cam.com/video/dsV8ZzVsxDY/v-deo.html .

      I have a kiddy evo-luna i-size car seat which lies flat and is compatible with the yoyo. I used it all the time with my 1st child with our large travel system so I hardly ever used the newborn carry cot. With my 2nd child I honestly think I could do without the newborn carry cot. I think it depends on your lifestyle. If u get around mostly by car and get in and out all the time, a lie flat car seat would be enough.
