For the type of music I listen to a sealed enclosure is a little more “punchy” and results in better sound quality, if we listened to rap mainly I would have done a ported setup.
Great video, and sick boat man. I'm actually looking at putting a system like this in my outlaw, just wondering what something like that cost you roughly?
Hey! I appreciate it!, Total costs were about $540 for the four marine 8'' speakers, the marine 5 channel amp and the 8" hippo sub. Youd need to factor in a proper battery too if you plan to play 7+ hours of music.
@@Localhost127 Thanks for the info, thats actually a pretty respectable price, even considering that's most likely in American doll hairs compared to Canadian.
Amp - sound stream 5 channel marine (mr5.2000d) 8” Marine compression horn drivers (Hifonics tps-cx80) Subwoofer is a “massive” audio 8” hippo with an eBayaluminum fuel tank as a subwoofer box The head unit is the cheapest one I could find that had three separate pre-out rca’s.
It will likely not be able to if it is turned up to full tilt while the engine is running. I plan to install an isolator and resistor paired to the output of what the stator can output. The majority of the time we’re playing the stereo will be on the beach while hanging out.
What’s up localhost? I believe I’m local to you and Jetboat the Missouri area, specifically big river, meramec etc, wanted to reach out and see about meeting up to get a run goin. How do I get ahold of you?
I admire your tenacity and vision. From the looks of the thumbnail I thought you installed a washing machine in the boat. Is that next?
That would be a sweet feature for long trips! Haha.
Wow I thought you were way off but when I first saw it installed at ~7:30 I will admit it looks very sweet
had to make em look good! haha
What a cool boat! But where do you put your feet? Against the speaker??? I think not haha
It’s a small boat but there’s still plenty of space to put your feet haha. When I fully stretch my legs the speakers are still about 1.5 feet away.
Im also building a mini jet inc boat and im definitely copying your system. Thanks for sharing!
Is the sub box not supposed to be vented? To avoid "pressurising" the box?

Is the stator going to be capable of keeping up with the demands of the stereo?

@@Localhost127 ironically I was just thinking about this exact problem about 6 hours prior to your vid.
