Hope you like the video. Did you spot my mistake before I pointed it out?
Name it moneypenny and paint it black! Cuz looks like it got out of a 007 movie!!
One day you will be on the lake. Thanks for the video keep on keeping on.
Hope so!
That crazy got right out of a friggin 007 movie. Paint it black and call it moneypenny
Keep after it Bob, it'll happen!
Thanks!
Looking great..
Thanks 👍
Good to know that u really fix the problem before u installed the motor ka-Metal you are very pro love lots
No, I didn't see the mistake until you pointed it out. You saw it and corrected it which is a great thing on your part. Great job seeing, fixing, relaying the information and learning from a mistake so other people doing that build don''t make the same mistake.
Thanks for watching!
This thing is looking better and better. Good work!
Thanks!
Good catch!! I was lookin hard and never spotted it !
Take your time. These projects always take way longer than we think.
I was worried it was a machining problem, but it's only cleaning and re-applying goop. Project is looking great!
Yes, thanks
Hang in there, you'll get it done.
Nice to see more progress! Can't wait to start my build. Man you got so lucky on that jetski motor! Omg. Brand new and not at full price, wow! Bravo mate
you adapted the mounting flange for the flexible coupling to the setting pins dont go completely through.
But it seems that now there will be a gap between the flange and the housing?
Another tip from a shipyard worker: try bostik instead of sikaflex, and put some tootpicks on the surface that you are squeezing.
This way you don't squeeze it out completely and respect the 2.5mm (yes imperial) thickness for optimal surface tension, flexibility and watertightness.
Thanks for the tip!
I did spot it, but only because you said to look for it. I saw your post about the car port, was wondering if you were going to share any more details!
I probably should have filmed more of the storm damage but didn't. Everything has been cleaned up and repaired. I'm just glad it's over. Thanks for watching.
Been waiting patiently but good things come to those that wait👍
You got that right! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing - I could see myself doing the same thing and then wondering where is all the water coming in from...?
Thanks for watching!
Paint the inside of the boat with bed liner it will seal it and sound proof it
I really like the tap wrench. The only mistake I see is you shop at Harbor Freight.
Yes HF does have some junk, but they have really cleaned up their act over the past few years. Thanks for watching!
It’s coming along you’ll be enjoying this summer. Good you caught the sealant oversight. Did you consider 3M 5200 sealant. I’ve been using it for about 20 years. It’s a fantastic product.
The Sikaflex 291 comes highly recommended in the jet boat community.
Thankyou 👍
Welcome 👍
Which yeswelder would you recommend for welding aluminum. I am soon to take on a jet boat build myself and need a mig welder?
The yWM-211P is the best aluminum welder I have used I wish it had been available when I started this project.. yeswelder.com/collections/welder-cutter/products/yeswelder-ywm-211p-double-pulse-aluminum-mig-welder?ref=makingstuff
What size was the barb fitting you used?
Did the drive shaft have to go in the intake first?
No
How do all the screws that hold the plastic seal?
Rubber back washer on the inside.
Brass Nipples and aluminum is no no ???
Brass and aluminum is fine.
