Jackal or MWMIK or abbreviation ("Mobility Weapon-Mounted Installation Kit") is an armed patrol vehicle purchased by the UK under Urgent Operational Requirements (UOR) in June 2007 for troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

They were designed & built for a different war at a different time. Russia's Desertcross 1000-3 all-terrain vehicles fare hardly any better. The same can be said of Russia's "exploding tanks" that eject their turrets high in the sky & kill their crews when their ammunition storage is hit.
