I've always felt like a goddam alien trying to assimilate into human culture when I watch these videos but they're so practical and to the point. As corny as a lot of this stuff is to be watching and learning now, most of us need it as we weren't taught // avoided learning it growing up. SOCIAL SKILLS are so important and it may feel so damn cringy watching these videos, you're making good progress. Especially if you actually apply it...

@@oliverford5367Truth is 90% of people can't hold a conversation. And not one in a hundred women know how to flirt for sour apples.
If you learn to just volley a conversation, you're going to be seen as an interesting and more chaing person.
If you guys are single, be confident about flirting. If a woman doesn't like it, you just wink and move on. Other people will see you as just being fun, and see her as a snot.
Let's say two of you are out watching a ball game. Maybe one of you owns a sailboat. Pick out the two prettiest girls, go say hello, start a conversation.
If the girls start to ask questions, say something like:
"Okay, here's the truth, but you can't tell anyone! We're actually aliens, but the good kind. We're grad students here working on our thesis, Earth Babes Are The Hottest.
I mean, that's what a lot of guys around the universe think, but we're doing field research. Of course, those girls on planet Quizzes are, too.
If they ask, say, "Three breasts. One on the back for dancing."
You can lay the alien grad students and "field research' on thick. If they ask anything remotely related, say:
Well, our ship is here, but transformed to a sailboat so it wouldn't be as much in dock fees. Hey, we're on a tight budget.
Yeah, if you want to see it, we plan on going out on it tomorrow. So, you have a big bottle of suntan oil and a bikini?
Hey, it needs energy to run, you know. The sexier the bikini the more energy. And we don't want anything sunburned, do we?
You can usually lay it on thick and the girls will eat it up, probably show up in their skimpiest bikini and want to prove Earth Girls Are The Sexiest.

Craig is an excellent example to pick. He was the very best talk show host ever. You genuinely laugh. And he had a cast of supporting characters equally as funny.
Importantly, he was never a 'try hard' type always straining to get a laugh or reaction or hog the limelight. He just let the session run wherever it took him and his guest and team. That ability to throw out the plan and improvise brilliantly marked him out. And you are correct, that leaning away from the guest gives them space and he never seems like a predator. And that creepy Biden example would make anyone afraid.

I didn't see it, cause Im a man, and this is basically how I interact with everybody. Its because I was shy for a while and kind of awkward, but I found if I could just get people laughing and talking about their favorite subject (usually them, lol) it wasnt that hard to talk to people.

I never ever saw it that way but reading your comment makes sense, I always get the female patients laughing by just doing my job and commenting on my klutzy behaviours. For example half tripping over an observation machine on wheels and just commenting "this is the 4th time and i've only been on for 20 minutes I must be wired wrong!"

HE'S the LEAN BACK Master...leaning back in the chair has done wonders for my flirting game. It actually might be one of the biggest impacts I've made. When I'm leaning back, she's leaning in, I'm listening and formulating my reactions in a relaxed state of mind. This is an excellent video, great points, and fellas look at Craig leaning back, do that and absolutely remain upbeat with a smile, and a 'touch' louder in voice/deepen your tone...aces guys, aces

I work as a cashier and the chairs we have are terrible, except you can lean back just the perfect amount in order to be more relaxed in a conversation. I do it all the time and not just with women and it really works wonders. You relax and at a counter people won’t lean in, so you create more space between the two of you, which normally is a bad thing, but in this case it’s great, because you usually don’t have the time to get accustomed to the customer. So what you do is create more space, which subconsciously gives both of you more time to answer and because you are more relaxed by leaning back the other person/people will feel that and do the same, thus making the conversation more organic.

No!, No!, NO! You have to understand that (faux) lying to them is SEXY! She wants you to create some MYSTERY in her head, so use a name that's not so ridiculous as to be easily dismissed, but fake enough to raise some doubt in all but the certifiably brain dead. "Did he just lie to me about his name? OMG! I wonder why? Is he pulling my leg?". Admit to lying about your name too early and there's no challenge for her because you haven't awakened her curiosity. 'gorgeous' kind of defeats the purpose of what is said in the video, doesn't it?
      It's a very common word.
      'Positively Noble', 'Sensational', Captivating'
None of the above words are used in usual conversation or complementation and so become so much more viable than
      your run-of-the-mill usage of "gorgeous".

      @Heiliger Katholik Whose normal conversation?
Maybe if you are from east coast old money and born in the 1950's.
But the largest recent generations hardly say words such as that (boomers, gen-x, millennials).
Certainly if you'd like to prove your point, jump into the metrics on google.
Or you could have some fun with it, jump onto 6-10 comedian standup when they speak about beauty/dating.
And of course positively noble is two words. But positively is an adjective, which we can see Ferguson demonstrating in these clips.

    • @thedappermagician6905

@Heiliger Katholik Sorry, I'd offer Spanish but that probably wouldn't communicate what its supposed to.
I can hit you in many forms of slang? The likes of which have years of efficacy confounding nearly everyone outside its applicable culture grid and while simple to me may very well seem complex to you.
      So let's clear it up.
I do not care about your measure of what is normal, simple, or non-simple. It is clear that you are disconnected.
Another thing that is clear, is that two exchanges complete and you've already tried veiled but direct insults.
I guess your complex linguistic skills reveal your simple mind.
No matter though, I'll get my kicks from the fact you said this publicly.
Because ultimately, you are typing on a website that uses American English as its interface(by default), commenting on a video where an educated American English speaker speaks.
      The funniest part?
The entire website is written in a computer language which reads as English and is oriented towards American English.
High chances that the story is the same for the device you are using to access this website.

I do think Graig is genuinely having fun and letting go of the outcome. He's trusting the process that if he follows his flow of fun while paying attention to the other person and inviting them in a safe way it will all be alright. Just focussing on elements of his approach is overcomplicating that core process. Sure, his techniques are pure excellence but at the core of it all is having as much fun as possible while taking care of the other person.

This doesn't mean he can't offend them or turn them off, however, it does mean he is starting ahead of the game unlike doing this to a complete stranger on the street.

There are a few things to take note of here. There's a stage, there are lights and there are multiple cameras and a warmed-up audience expecting to hear and see a well-known talk show 'clown' make them (the audience) laugh. The actress is acting in, what is in essence, a career promotional video. With all these elements in play from the get-go, there won't be any violation of expectations from the actress... There's no: "Where the fudge did this guy come from?" Most of Craig's antics would likely backfire in a workplace situation but probably better results would occur at a cocktail party where a few drinks have lubricated the social atmosphere. Finally, the host is Craig Ferguson, he's got the looks and a funny, Robin Williams-ish personality that is unique to him: We are not him and unless the woman finds you to be very attractive and her type, I think the chances of success with these techniques are slim to none.
