I hope someone will upload the full length version of this song. Allison sings it so beautifully. This is the one song my deceased wife requested be played at her funeral service and of course there wasn't a dry eye in the place.
It's been 6 years, 1 month and 4 days since our oldest daughter sudden left this world in a single car accident. My hope and foundations in Jesus and our Lord most high has become an even more treasured gift. I know that I will see my sweet daughter again, soon, one day soon. Rest In Peace beautiful brown eyed girl!
🙏🏻 Anointed! Squire Parsons wrote this song(Sweet Beulah Land) on almost heaven country road in Mason County West Virginia while driving to work as a music teacher at Hannan High-school, (where my husband attended school). He looked out on the scenic serene farmland and rolling hills, and thought- It looks like Beulah Land! This Godly man comes back to do benefit sings for Hannan, all for God's glory!🕊🙏🏻. God Bless👼🏼
I just lost my grandma last month! This was her favorite song! My great aunt (my grandma's sister) sang it at her funeral. I miss her so much, but I know she is in Beulah Land with the Lord!
This is the first time I have heard this song in 4 years... My grandma had this played at her funeral during the slide show. I'm kinda blue that's she's been gone for so long but have to be happy she's not suffering or ill anymore.
This is a beautiful song. I'd love to find it in its entirety by this particular artist. I can find it tho. I've always thought her voice is perfect for hymns
Like Roger Dale, below, Ginger and I would have been married 45 years, on June 6, 2019. I miss her so much, however, I am happy that we had the time that we had. Alison Krauss has the voice of an angel. RIP Ginger
The term Beulah Land is in Isaiah 62:4 Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married. Isa 62:5 For [as] a young man marrieth a virgin, [so] shall thy sons marry thee: and [as] the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, [so] shall thy God rejoice over thee.
If anything more of this song was done by Alison when going in to sing it for that film, the entire recording should have been released in some way if it wasn't all going to be used for the film. In my opinion, anything done by her should NEVER be swept up underneath ANY rug. God bless you and Alison always!!! Holly in east Tennessee (a fan of her since 1994)
OUT ~ ~ STAND~ ~ ING!!!! Thank you for posting this pure angelic version of a beautiful song about The HOPE of G L O R Y and being with JESUS! ALLELUIA!
Today, I and my beautiful wife would have been married for 40 years had she not died five years ago. I do not thank God for her death, neither does God require me to do so. However, I am thankful for the years God allowed us to be together. This song, sung by Alison Krause, causes me to long for Sweet Beulah Land as well. What movie was this video from? .
In everything give thanks: for this is the will of Godin Christ Jesus concerning you. I Thes. 5:18. God does not require you to understand, but when you can learn to trust that He knows what we do not, then we can allow Him to remove bitterness and praise His Holy name! Remember that Isaiah 53:10 tells us how God the Father was pleased to send His son to die, because He knew the overall plan... Learn to thank Him for everything
Long as i live this song will forever remind me of a friend . He left us a few years back(over a decade) Brian Lee Morison musician, 41 Died Monday 5/10/01.
The movie is called Where the red ferns grow. The movie was good, until this scene, I was really sad, emotional. That scene and especially the song changes everything about this movie for me. It’s an amazing song, Allison has a beautiful voice.
I have requested this song to be played at my home going party, This version only not the one by Squire Parsons. Alison has such a pure quality to her voice
Wow so I watched this movie when I was like 9 right? 10 years later I finally found this song! The nostalgia of this whole scene and song still gives me a lump in my throat, I wish I could find the full song
Thank you, Johann. This piece of music is very appro pos at a Goodbye/Funeral Service. In honesty, for the Christian, it's a Going Home Celebration, except for the fact that, most of the time, that happened at the person's last breath, generally 3 days ago. GOD IS GOOD!
I am also a Huge Doyle Lawson Fan and I agree with keeping with High Lonesome Sound on my Bluegrass music. Have met Doyle at Bluegrass Festivals and also in Bristol many times. I am an old soul, I like the old Bluegrass Sounds, they have a way of touching your heart and soul. We are very lucky to have two Bluegrass Festival in my town, so If you are ever in Palatka Florida Need to check out one or both of our Festivals. Adams and Anderson produce both of them at The Rodeheaver;s Boy's Ranch,
"where the red fern grows" the red frern grew where the dog was burried,I cried to that one in the early 70's (I was only 9 years young) I saw it in Tampa Fl.on Causeway Blvd. drive inn theater.thanks JOHANNWIEBEF for sharing and for reminding me of that wonderful movie and taking me back in time.:)
Can someone please please please get the full length version of this song sang by Miss Allison Krauss… My grandmothers name is Beulah, this is a beautiful song & she sings it the BEST
Please don't blame the posters for the video being cut short, that's exactly how it comes in the movie! She only gets to sing a little bit and then her song is cut short by the crunching sound of people walking through the dry leaves, and the actors' dialogue begins. This is from the later (not 1974) version of the movie "Where The Red Fern Grows", but be careful not to do like I did and accidentally order "Where The Red Fern Grows 2 - The Homecoming." Alison's track is not on that one. I am now going to Amazon to try to find the right one!
Ed Market I didn't have enough room to finish my comment. The festivals are held in October and in February and they have facilities for 300 hook ups for motor homes and primitive camping also. It is a beautiful place right off the St Johns River one of the two Rivers that Flow North in the world. I have great friends in Bristol, Tim White who does Bluegrass radio and also host the PBS show Songs of the Mountains. He is also member of the VW Boys. We try to get up there every year!
"I've Reached the Land of Corn and Wine" is another song also known as "Beulah Land". This one seems to be much better known though. Both are beautiful.
It has not been released by Alison. It's only the one and a half minute excerpt on the soundtrack of this movie, "Where the Red Fern Grows" (2003). The soundtrack also includes a tune with Jerry Dougals, "Shoulder to Shoulder", from his 2002 album "Slide Rule".
This is beautiful. There is another gospel song about Beulah Land that starts "I've reached the land of corn and wine", which is hard to find a recording of for some reason.
Partial lyrics for Sweet Beulah Land: I'm kind of homesick for a country to which I've never been before. No sad goodbyes will there be spoken, And time won't matter anymore Beulah Land I'm longing for you, and someday on thee I'll stand. There my home shall be eternal. Beulah Land... sweet Beulah Land I'm looking now across that river to where my faith is gonna end in sight. Theres just a few more days to labor, Then I'll take, my heavenly flight Beulah Land I'm longing for you,

Makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck.... Her beautiful voice would make angels weep.
I just lost my grandma last month! This was her favorite song! My great aunt (my grandma's sister) sang it at her funeral. I miss her so much, but I know she is in Beulah Land with the Lord!
It was my late Grand Daddies favorite too. My cousin used to sing it solo in Church when I was little. God Bless You in all that you do.
This is the first time I have heard this song in 4 years... My grandma had this played at her funeral during the slide show.
I'm kinda blue that's she's been gone for so long but have to be happy she's not suffering or ill anymore.

Crystal Baum
It has a good message in this song
I am kinda of home sick for a country and that is called heaven!!!!
I miss my real mom so badly because she committed suicide 15 years ago when I was only 11 years old.
I used to want to send myself to heaven for all the wrong reasons. Now I cant wait till God calles me up there so I can see my saviors face.
And the angels stood around and harmonized as Alison sang of her God and Saviour with a voice they all dreamed of having.
pure class
love this song.it was sang at my 23 yr old son's funeral. still makes me cry.
So sorry for your loss.
My God bless you 🙏❤
wow. I can't imagine. He's with his savior now
LORD SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST, SON OF GOD, HAVE MERCY ON US, AS SINNERS. AMEN
This is a beautiful version of a classic song.
This rips at my heart and I keep coming back.
I agree
Amen. I can’t stop listening to it even though it’s so sad.
I could listen to her sing 24/7 and never tire of it.
Like Roger Dale, below, Ginger and I would have been married 45 years, on June 6, 2019. I miss her so much, however, I am happy that we had the time that we had. Alison Krauss has the voice of an angel. RIP Ginger
This song is so beautiful that it made me cry. 😢
Sweet Lord she sings incredible...words fail me

How does she sing so wonderfully? And people say there is no God. A voice like that doesn't just happen.
One of my favorite hymns by one of my favorite singers
This soothes my mountain heart and soul.
Beautiful song and Alison's voice just makes it even more.
What a beautiful song and angelic voice Alison Krauss has.
Alison, your angelic voice reaches our inner souls!
This movie was the first time I had heard this song, so emotional especially during this funeral. Thank you Allison. God bless.

My darling husband loved this. March 21st 2019.
This song makes me weep. When I get to thinking of how sweet it will be.....
How beautiful!

Where the Red Fern Grows
I was wondering the name of the movie Thanks
I want this at my funeral.
was sang by our music director at my darlings funeral.
I'm at the age now that I'm close to see the other side soon.AMEN
God in the flesh was Jesus...An angel's voice in the flesh is Alison Krauss.
It is blasphemy to say such a thing. Nothing and no one can be compared to the Lord Jesus Christ.
@Glinkling Smearnops I've always thought she has that angelic voice God has blessed her with that voice to sing praises to him for his glory
I have to wonder what this would sound like with Squire Parsons joining in... my oh my !
What a blessing.
Hallo and sorry for my bad english.I am from Germany
I find this Song is beauteful and full Emotions.I need this Song in full lengt.
Oh yeah! It's gonna be sooooooo good.
I wish she would record the whole song. For me no other version comes close.

Thanks for taking the time to explain all that. I was wondering about it myself!
If only Allison Krauss could record this live in a concert.
From "Where the Red Fern Grows"
How moving...!

Indeed she can.
Missing my Granny!

It is a caption of the Movie "Where the red fern grows"
She's the only one I know that can sing this perfectly
wow....great idea.
Awesome
I was disappointed it didn't play the entire song. But beautiful what there was.
this is from the remake of "Where the Red Fern Grows" great movie
Thank you for posting the answer I was seeking! The scene looked familiar, but I couldn't place it. God bless you. 💜
It's all there is. One of the movie characters starts talking at the point where this clip is cut short, and the song fades out a few seconds later.
This is beautiful. There is another gospel song about Beulah Land that starts "I've reached the land of corn and wine", which is hard to find a recording of for some reason.
Partial lyrics for Sweet Beulah Land:

to where my faith is gonna end in sight.
Theres just a few more days to labor,
Then I'll take, my heavenly flight
Beulah Land I'm longing for you,
This seen from where the red fern grows from the 2003 version I almost cryed
Thank you for the name of the movie. I appreciate your reply.
thank you tara
