Btw if your a PlayStation fanboy don’t come at me this isn’t a poke at Sony the only problem I have with them is that they chose a cheaper option with light tracking instead of sensors because they don’t care about people spending a lot of money just for the product not to work. other than that I have no beef with them.

Just got my PSVR and everything works the way it should be. Now about taking a break from VR, I realized that Sony may not have think about one tiny detail, that is to be able to tell time. In a regular video game session I am able to turn around to look at my clock. But inside the VR there is no way to do so for obvious reason. I guess the best way for now is to set up an alarm of some kind.

You can also use it as an extra tv. Just plug in a headset and you can play games or watch hulu or something while someone else watches tv on the screen. Pretty cool

The only problem is you recommend buying the Launch Bundle. If you did not get it day 1 you are pretty much out of luck. Nobody has them in stock and most do not know if they are getting anymore.

Brought it on release day and i am happy i brought it. I just started playing it again and it felt like it was the first time. The one thing i do not like is the fact that since i got it on release day, i feel like i already have all the best titles. Which also means that they don't release game for it like they should.

Also, if you get the bundle, you should also get a separate charging station or USB splitter for the Move controllers.

And trailers and gameplay videos really don't do the games justice. Play the demo first was probably the best bit of advice here.
Standing games like Job simulator need a clear space of 6ft by 6ft (minimum), but sitting games like most of the others don't need any more space than a non-VR game to play besides the ability to turn around.
im getting my vr in 3 days,im soooo excited:)
i got mine last night and played resident evil and farpoint for couple hours. i went to bed right after and was fine but was a little dizzy waking up probably because it was my first time using it, but id suggest VR to anyone was really cool.
Finally buying vr today, I just wish I had a way to find out if I can tolerate it or not before dropping the 500 bucks. No one has ever had a demo set up in my area and I have mild epilepsy so I guess I'll be saving my receipt!

ryan i rewatched your 2016 predictions video, please remember to do another one i really enjoyed them not to mention you were spot on in a lot of your preditions but you were wrong on the price the release date of the psvr. LOL ironic you said 300 was the sweet spot and 350 is pushing it, however its still selling quite well all things considered.

Metroid Prime in VR is the only VR title I had no need to take any break whatsoever. Imagine that; a game that was never designed for VR doing many things devs say you can't do or is hard to do no problem. I played through the whole game with no fatigue whats so ever in one sitting no breaks. I did have to get my position physically right first though. Before I learned how to do that it did make me a little sick. I figured out to launch the game from a crouched position then site up and move in and out until the cannon arm was aligned with my shoulder. After that all was perfect. The most comfortable VR experience that using stationary locomotion that I have experienced to date. I used Dolphin VR emulator with the Oculus Rift Playing the GameCube version of Prime original.
It also works with PC with a bit of tinkering, which opens up hundreds of new experiences
This was a perfect example of a video. Immediately to the point, no intro filler bullshit.
I could only play static games at first and couldn't handle games like farpoint,dirt rally and doom Because of this I hadn't used it for several months. That all changed when firewall came out for some reason,maybe to do with communicating with team mates taking my mind off it. I can now do a 6-7 hour session with no problems.

Psvr is a fantastic and affordable doorway to the platform. I love it. I honestly have a difficult time flatscreen gaming in comparison. If you already have the ps4, I would totally recommend picking up the addition. Some of the best games are $40 or less

I can vouch for the motion sickness, more specifically resident evil 7 and on ps worlds scavenger odyssey for me . personally i find its the way the camera moves that triggers it .

i have horrendous motion sickness but.... iv also had stomach illnesses/issues almost my entire life so i'm numb to it by now sooo sod it i'm going for it.
Sony posted an ad on Instagram for $100 off of various VR setups; I just bought the VR Headset, the Camera and Gran Turismo for $199. Steal of a deal!

Also the camera v2 is a pain in the ass to use without a mount so if you get one off ebay get one with a mount I used a coat hanger wire to hold mine to the top of my monitor

How does it perform with the standard PS4? You know, the launch model? And is it gonna be a problem because it has only 2 USB ports (one is already in use by my 2TB hard drive)?

When he says it’s a bulky headset he means with wires and other things the headset is light and comfy from what I’ve heard
Just wanted to add, so far, there's no fix for the PS4 Pro owners who want to get HDR+, the PSVR does not have a pass through to support HDMI 2.2. The current work around from the AVS website recommendation was to use a coupler, simply unplug both plugs and plug it into the coupler when not using PSVR, replug into the PSVR box if you want to play PSVR.
Well shit... I ordered VR with Eve Valkyrie and Rigs already. But oh well, I tried a VR rollercoaster once and I was fine, except for getting afraid of heights...
I bought a bunch of games with my be. Sure its cheaper now, but im lucky I don’t get sick in full motion. Skyrim will give me a headache after awhile, but I think that’s the headset itself on my temples. Being near sighted I’m happy that I can use my shitty scratched glasses.

These are some good tips, but coming into 2019 VR hasn't really matured yet. I have played PSVR and on the Occulus Rift and while quite impressive the games still feel like technical demos. This still feels like first gen VR and it may take until 2nd gen for the games to really be good. There are some okay games, but they are the exception. Most players I know with VR say they don't really play using it very often.
