  • We continue to enjoy the life sized foam pieces by NECA. This Alien Facehugger is a home-run and our latest prop at the HQ. The paint is simple, but effective. The tale is perfect for posing and the creepy foam fingers make it durable for hiding these suckers in cramped places. Very good piece for any horror / Sci-Fi fan. Enjoy :)

Just got mine and check the fingers, they do have a wire in them for articulation it goes from just above the tip to the just about past 1/2 way of the second knuckle , I don't believe the two fingers in front of the face have any wire , but they're already hooked to latch on to something, just bend the fingers easy , I had the tip of a wire kind of pop out of the end when I first tried bending it

Great review, dude. I live in UK and mine will be dispatched any time now. Facehugger is amazing design and had to get this particular one, however, remind me of spider and omfg scared of spiders.

Had to get this for the actual design, size and material it's made from. Love everything about it, but I do wish there was articulation in the spider legs lol. Think many people would agree with me on the leg thing. A remote controlled version would have been great too...imagine that. Terrifying creature but so well designed.

Haha yup. Cost alittle more for the legs being articulated.

I'm gonna try to add some thin armature wire into the fingers when I get mine and seal the holes with some waterproof silicone sealant like you would use around a bathtub or sink, how flexible are the fingers now? Do you think thin flexible wire would work?

@user-dn8py1ve4o They might not exactly work without ripping the outer foam. They are pretty fixed in place.

@@CollectorZown, I was thinking about heating the tip of the armature wire and pushing it into the finger tips just past the first knuckle to at least be able to partially bend the fingers, then seal the small hole with some silicone sealer , I plan on doing a touch up paint job on the whole thing, once I get mine in hand I'll be able to determine if I can do it or not..I'll keep you posted with what I can come up with

It has articulation in the fingers except for the two in front, the wire goes from the tip to about 1/2 way past the second knuckle in the 6 side fingers , just be careful when you bend them, one of the wires on mine popped thru the finger tip a bit, but no noticeable damage was done
