To think that MHA came out just 4 months before Naruto ended
Putting the hate aside, we gotta admit how much of an impact mha has done for shonen. Horikoshi has paved the way for a lot of newer gens. It's sad to see it go
Yeah it will go down as a case study of how to ruin a great series
@tgreeny1400 🤣
@@tgreeny1400 or Years later people will grow more appreciation to it, and discuss how people misunderstood it. Because really weekly readers react to things wierdly and just by default go by "if it ain't hype then it went bad" kind of mindset. And most people will react differently when it was read volume by volume or if it was animated
@@Snzn18 doubtful narutos ending was just as bad as this crap and people never forgot that.
It isn't "misunderstood" its just garbage, understandable garbage given what horikoshi was given to work with, but garbage none the less. The quality tanked. Hard. And it wil always be remembered for the crap heap it unfortunately became.
@@Snzn18I don't think in a couple of years people will ever change thwir mond about the bakugo and deku arms fake out 🤔
People mad are forgetting that the poor guy (Hori)’s health is deteriorating bc of the magazine pushing him to make more.
Hopefully once it concludes, he can just rest like he wants to
Keep putting all the blame on jump without evidence. Dude is a millionaire and creator of one of jump’s biggest hits ever. Jump would give horikoshi as much time just like togashi. Horikoshi just sucks
@@legendarylitening uhhhh I think you’re not paying attention to how manga creators health and wellbeing deteriorate due to the conditions that companies like Shueisha put on them.
Never forget Miura.
Never forget Toriyama.
@@applecheeks21 Do you even read berserk? Miura literally pumped out berserk at his own schedule. Literally no one was rushing Miura. Toriyama wasn't publishing any manga when he died. What the fuck are you talking about? The truth is that pumping out manga on a weekly basis for years and years is just an incredibly hard thing to do. It has nothing to do with Shueisha. Is happy to give any of their prized manga creators as much break as they need
@@legendarylitening Berserk’s not my cup of tea, yet I keep my ear to the ground about creators 🤷♀️idk what to tell you about how the manga industry is when you keep denying the evidence that exists that Chibi mentioned
Who's blaming Jump? Bro was sick? And togashi had back problems. Are you good in the head?
I’m not caught up but I’m gonna miss this series so much. It was one of my first anime. Without it, I’d probably never watch anime
I love how Shigaraki's entire arc was resolved in a couple panels.
Turns out all of his trauma meant nothing because AFO planned it from the start. Deku didn't actually save Shigaraki emotionally which was the narrative throughline established at the end of the first war. Turns out Deku had to save Shigaraki from AFO rather than himself in at the very end.
This conclusion was rushed and disappointing because we KNOW Horikosh could write better than this.
He finally knows how Kubo and Kishimoto felt when they were forced to rush Bleach and Naruto
Yeah
Naruto wasn't rushed, imo. Kishi just created some god awful plot-twists at the end that even M. Night Shyamalan would think is terrible
Ironic how some of the biggest shonen, great shonen, can’t seem to stick the landing so often.
Exactly everything got resolved but it was disappointing and lackluster we got answers but the conclusion was so mid.
Shigaraki was never going to survive this war. If this is the end of him, I’m disappointed he didn’t get a final moment with All Might. Deku became his ultimate enemy, but his hatred for All Might and desire to destroy everything he represents was his driving motivation, despite AFOs influence. It’s like if Endeavor never confronted Dabi when he’s the reason his own son became a villain. Shigaraki would never forgive All Might, so I never expected them to make peace, but I would have liked for All Might to get some sort of closure for failing to protect his mentor’s grandchild.
He didn't fail anything what could he even have done after losing One for all. He didn't even know about Nanas grandson until All for one told him.
@@huseyinakyol1310exactly. He never met or knew Shigaraki until Afo spills the beans
For me I’m ok with shigaraki not talking to all might. Sometimes people don’t get closure and that’s just life. However in a way I feel like he did get closure knowing that he basically upstarted generations of new hero’s, like star and stripes, and most kids in UA. I’m pretty sure he’s always gonna feel hurt knowing what happened to his masters family, but he basically continued and taught the ways of his masters legacy/ideals to the next generations. You are all entitled to your own opinions. This is just food for thought
Eh Shigaraki hate for All Might was pushed on him by AFO but his personal beef seem to be more with the kind of world he thought All Might created and as heroes go as the series goes he starts to target Deku more
I've been reading this since the very early days when the translations were way behind the raws. I'm going to miss this series.
Ah yes, the old Fallen Angel and Mangastream scans
Remember after Naruto ended, we see so many fan arts of Naruto passing down the mantle of Shonen genre to Izuku? 😂

@@user-pq3vd6oc1c He's said before he has a small desire to do a horror manga. And if you've seen a lot of his panels in the final act, you can definitely see he has the talent for it

@@meraj5393Horikoshi is being rushed to finish MHA and also poor health due to overwork and tight deadlines
It’s truly the end of an era. Thank you for all those years and even though I won’t bear witness to the end, m grateful for the journey.
Before I knew what anime was, my first anime show was the start of Digimon on Fox Kids. Early 2000s.
Ok, and???
@@mugi-wharingan8150 Yup
One of the best things about this last bunch of arcs is how much Twice's death affected Shigaraki.
I mean, it's crazy, how often he talked about his good friend and how sad his death made him,
truly peak storytelling👌🏻😭
I think the downfall of AFO is well written and very poetic
Had he not tried to force a quirk onto Yoichi, there would be no OFA and he would easily take over the world.
And AFO's goal was always to get his hands on OFA. But that again, would spell his demise as the combined power of 9 users of OFA ultimately destroyed Shigaraki's already quirk-filled body.
To me its unclear if Shigaraki himself had any hand in beating AFO, but to me AFO beat himself be flying too close to the sun. And I think that is the perfect ending to AFO as a character
And to even further this point. 9:00 this panel is my favorite panel of this chapter. It shows all the heroes coming together to fight AFO. But again, because he took OFA, all the heroes managed to overload Danger Sense to allow Midoriya to deal the final blow. Simply beautiful.
It's really sad when health issues appear so you are not able to continue drawing manga with pleasure, but suffering while trying to do your best and your body just is an obstacle at a certain point. Overall no matter what happens from now on this series is about 5/10 but it sure had its 10/10 moments. Like when Deku fought muscular to protect Kota was the very best moment that summs up the series in just a moment, a few chapters. The meaning of being a hero, putting your life on the line to save someone else's, doing your 100% and then going 100 PLUS ULTRA just to save that somebody is how that moment is everything this series is. And to make this series a 10/10 we needed that moment in the ending. But health problems are not Horikoshi's fault.
Exactly. Blame Japan and WSJ's terrible work schedule
I remember u covering mha every week gosh its almost over 😭😭
We're close to the ending of My Hero Academia. Now the anime has to catch up and finish as well.
They’ll be easily able to now since the anime is ongoing and they have many stuff to adapt before arriving at this chapter.
i will say probbaly 2 more seasons of mha
@@gamerbeast3616The 8th season is going to be the last
I picked up MHA's manga in Jan 2016 before I even knew there would be an anime. I had seen its ads frequently on VIZ's website over and over. That elusive Vol 1 cover art. I finally toke the plunge that month and read all the way through to Stain Arc. Loved it for so long. I grew up with this story somewhat. I thank Horikoshi for giving such good memories.
"My hero will end in five chapters"
Source: Trust me bro
This chapter is the start of a new volume, so we actually probably have 11-12 chapters left
@@slobertooth1358Stop lying, no epilogue takes that amount of chapters
So how many more drag chapters do you want for an epilogue? Time to accept the truth
@@ricky-chinaudioyou completely missed the point, there is no official confirmation of how many chapters are left and the title of the video makes it seem like it's a fact.
@ricky-chinaudio Hori literally said he has a ton of moments he wants to draw/write post-war. The last chapter closed out volume 41, this chapter is the start of volume 42. In what way was I lying?
If the last few arcs weren't rushed My Hero Academia could have been one of the best shonen manga ever, still, it will forever be an iconic manga that will be remembered even with the many flaws it has, hopefully Horikoshi gets some rest now, and I'm looking forward to see what he does next
He's reportedly going to do a horror manga next
it has not been rushed lmao
Dude in the vid said it was rushed tho
There is also the possibility that the Quirk evolve into something new but let's be real here
Robotic arms armored Deku being a hero sound cool as hell
Nah, both quirks are wiped from existence
It's almost over I can't believe it
I feel like every time I come back to check on MHA it’s just deku fighting Shigaraki.
We've been hearing about MHA ending for about two years and now that the end is actually VERY close, it feels unreal. Damn, I'll be missing this series for sure.
Take it with a grain of salt, but there was another leak saying MHA would get a sequel series starting when the main run ends, drawn by his assistant that was previously doing the red riding hood series.
Wasn't that one axed, though?
Source?
@@turinmormegil7715hunters red hood was done so dirty by jump. The mangaka made a final chapter calling out jump on their axing behavior
@@elimDBZ yeah, so my memory was some what correct.
Nah, you are just coping
For all of its flaws (both the story and the fandom), My Hero Academia was definitely a fantastic ride in my book: while it was definitely far from perfect, I am very grateful that Horikoshi wrote MHA and will remember it fondly🤗
the only thing I wanted to see that might not happen now is seeing Koichi meeting Deku
Nope, not going to happen. Horikoshi never created Koichi and the Koichi is in America thousands of miles away
In chapter 422, page 12 we see a shadowy figure in America calling for heroes getting sent to Japan. I don't know who else could be sent to Japan and have a real meaning, if not Koichi...
@@NexusBecauseWhyNot definitely not Koichi for sure

This has honestly been long overdue. This last part did really start to drag. Lets see what happens at the end. I won't deny the impact the series has had but I'm not gonna act like the series didn't go downhill after the 3rd season
Also, Endeavor should've been finished off by Dabi
Wrong season 4 was good season 5 was weak at the end season 6 was good
It didn't.
endeavor dying would be stupid
Manga readers when the final act of a series takes it's time and goes on for a few years: 🤯
@@thesegafan4472nah, Season 6 became bad midway through
Would be pretty cool if the final chapter drops on the exact 10 year anniversary in July. If we're due no more than 5 chapters then assuming no breaks happen next month it's very possible.
Makes sense why it's ending. Both antanagonists died and izuku's still alive
You should read Yuto Suzuki's 'Sakamoto Days' if you want some fights with great art 🎨
I’m not caught up, I’ve read up to vol 21, then took a break & haven’t got back to it.
i would like an aftermath arc maybe 30 chapters of just showing how society has changed and adapted because of this last arc and how deku as a character has changed but im not the author so
Where is the source that MHA will end in 5 chapters? Or this is another clickbait?
Just speculation
Ima miss mha
You will live. After all, Bleach, Naruto and various other Shounen came and went and we are still here
Chibi have you read “Returned by the King”?
We gotta at least try to give Horikoshi a break you can tell these last few chapters were rushed, he really isn’t doing so well health wise he’s likely trying to hurry up and finish series just in case his health makes a turn for the worst
Apparently his health is still very bad, hence so much breaks and hiatuses
I wonder if in this final fight when Shiagaraki awakens, he left Deku a quirk before he crumbled to dust so he can keep doing his hero work. Hell it would be interesting if the theory that Deku's original quirk was stolen by AFO when he was a child, only to be given back to him last moment.
You know I think for the last final chapters if it goes down this way giving gecko a power to keep on protecting people it may not be all for one but it'll be something I think that'll be a fitting and happy ending if it does go down that route but then again I'm curious of the likelihood of that being possible I guess only time will tell.
How was midnight's death insignificant??? Regardless of the arc???
Redgardless of the opinions and biases and hate and love, I gotta give hori credit for toughing it out and finishing a series that inspired millions, mha follows what happened to alot of other shounen, heavy critisim towards the end, but at the end of the day, once the dust settled down, those series were looked back apon with fond memories.
Mha will still go down with a special place in my heart.
Thank you mha, thank you horikoshi.
I think the problem is with the story overall there's not A moment that's worth remembering of the story
Like its nice but i might forget it about a week later and go back to a anime i remember fondly
The message is a double edged sword
Like it had some good messages yes but it has some hypocrisy and had not time to fully explain it
Like it just tell us and will just forget about it
The United States of Smash was incredibly memorable, The Sports Festival, Vigilante Arc, Dabi's Dance, etc, like mfs are just saying shit sometimes
Tbh first few episodes of that anime is such a hype train it's still getting me every time I watch it. Sadly no anime can stay at such good level for whole runtime especially when it's so long.
One Piece
I started watching my hero academia back in 2021 they were good memories
This thing ends in June, it makes no sense to drag an epilogue more than that
So fans, how are you liking it? Dropped it 2 years ago and sounds like I didn't miss out on much
You made the right call honestly
@@KIN1311 As soon as he was starting getting more powers instead of finding innovative ways to use his original power, I was out lol. Tbh, it has been ages since I've felt true "hype" from any manga or anime since
Fair and valid points and opinions, it’s a shame that this Series went the way it did, i wish it could’ve had a more clean run all the through and that Horikoshi could’ve done more with what he wanted to do, but alas it ended up being pretty shaky in the End due to a couple of circumstances, I wonder how the Anime is going to handle this Arc? Hopefully, in a somewhat better way than the Manga did.
So, at least 5 Chapters left, huh? Some kind of Epilogue Arc then, i hope this at least ends on a more non-disappointing than the Journey to it was,
Let’s see how the aftermath looks like,
I just hope the man gets a long deserved rest and doesn’t start something new immediately after all of this is finally done.
Not a big fan of the manga but hearing a manga being ended by a mangaka's own terms is something worth appreciating...at least that what it seems.
It is truly an end of an era
Chibi hasn’t read Gintama. Big sad.
If you want a manga that does not diminish and just has an absolutely perfect ending , that’s where to look
This is really the end of an era
Imagine it ending on the same day it began 10 years ago which would be the 7th of july on a sunday, i mean... wouldnt that add up???
Did dabi's story get wrapped up? If so, please tell me the chapter
Just look it up on the MHA Wiki
I doubt there was any saving him in the not letting him die sense since even if he were saved he'd just spend the rest of his life in maximum security prison and isolation; which ain't saving him at all. Death is a salvation in its own warped way, at least in this particular case.
So in the end, Toshinori lived before the battle ends with Speculations of his death meant to finalise the potential of "One for All" nothing?
Hard to believe this series will end soon, but man did that final fight drag out...and yet it was worth it imo.
Calling it here. SINCE Deku lost his quirk. He will become a Agency Manager for Bakugo.😂
This will cause a riot 🤣
Or maybe became an inspirational figure and motivational speaker to INSPIRE others to be better and be true heroes in the purest sense of the word
Either way some people will be unsatisfied since he can’t be a hero anymore.
@@Robin503 yeah, these people have never eat he'd FMA Brotherhood where the MC lost his Alchemy powers but was better off for it
@MatthewLoh-ru1mw but that ending for that was Wrapped Nicely. While Deku became the Bully Agency Manager. Meaning if that happens he literally became the side character in the long run.
While he wanted to become the number one. He just became the number one here in the short term and not in the long term. Bro Deku wasn't even his Prime years.
A good example, is like Cyber punk 2027 dlc ending where Deku become another faceless character similiar to V where he lost all his augmention and just became another normal human
I have a question guys if authors use ai for art in manga won’t a lot of less people die from over work so isn’t that good ????
AI usually uses already existing art to make their own, essentially stealing hardworking artists of their work.
Yes, but it would look wierd
Return of the Jedi is one of the best telling on saving on one of the best villains ever
I think this was the best for shigaraki and deku
It has been long overdue, too long honestly, but congrats to Horikoshi sensei.
Why didn’t Mirio get another chance to help out? Last we saw of him he twerked and calmed Izuku down from raging out. He definitely should’ve appeared in one of those portals towards the end
Horikoshi probably forgot about him. Which is understandable when he's in a rush and trying to wrap up the story
Lol probably forgot about him. He wasn't needed tbh
Said it before and I'll say it again, Endeavor should have died and that woulda been his redemption ark! Him surviving after that fight was a missed opportunity for some real tear jersey moments. And ig this ending just left me wanting more. Thematically made sense, but idk wish Shigaraki was the actual last villain and he somehow had to fight AFO in the vestige for power and they both died inside as they mutually destroy eachother. Deku maybe goes in tries to save Shigaraki but ultimately fails cause Shigaraki wants to avenge his family that does because of AFO
The continued decline in not just the story, but Horikoshi's health is why long running Shounens should cap out at like 400 chapters. Tops. Even more should end well before that. Not everyone can do it like Oda. Most just go through the motions and it all goes down into poop.
it was the first manga I ever read
I'll say this much, I'm glad AFO is finally gone, for good this time, why?, cause that power hungry, psychopathic monster has caused enough trouble for everyone, so the world is better off without that monster, also, it's hard to believe that the story is coming to an end with 5 chapters, it's been a long road leading up to this point I guess.
I think he’s one of the most evil characters created, even deku had no desire to save him.
@@Robin503 no kidding AFO was beyond saving, he stole the powers from his mother, horded all the nutrients for himself while in his mother's womb, and hardly any for his twin brother, stole the powers from a child that emitted light, and so many more, all because he deludedly believed he was meant to rule the world as the "demon king", hell, he even treated his own brother as a possession and claimed he "loved" him, that's now what being a brother is all about, nor did he knew the meaning of love, honestly, bad guys like him deserved to be forgotten.
Thank you horikoshi
Great 👍🏻 video nice 👍🏻 hype!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don’t know what y’all are talking about when you think about lows. How was this arc a mixed bag, how is it bad, at all. I don’t understand. It’s never felt rushed or drawn out for me. When did it change, it never felt like MHA changed.
Atlanta the mangaka survived! He was looking bad for a while
It'd be amazing if Horikoshi and Gege teamed up once their stories are over
I wanna see horikoshi come back with a similar schedule as Choujin X. I think he got burnt out towards the end
*Sui Ishida since he is the author.
It's STILL going??? 😳
about time
I would like for him to actually write a good fleshed out MHA
He did buddy
I am hoping for six chapters. And, ten years? Wow. It felt less than that, honestly.
OK you can defend it but for me he should completely give up on story he should just make a collab with someone who will do story and he will do drawing. Many people don't recognise how fucking GOD TIER ARTIST he is
Hoping the anime helps me have a better viewpoint of this ending. I will see I did love this series. It was really my intro into anime in my 30s. So I’ll keep my positive attitude ❤ although it wasn’t the ending I had hoped for. I think Horikoshi really needed to take a longer break to get his health together and then do the ending. I don’t mind shiggy going out like this. I think I was thrown off by AFO being an emotional hot mess at the end even though didn’t he kill his brother before??? But I think if we get answers on the quirk singularity and some other loose ends, and ofa/afo, I could be ok. I kinda wish mha could have had more “school” seasons before it had gone into the war chapters. Those were always my favorite but I like the boring stuff 😂
I hope the anime do this arc justice
All good things must come to an end i’m sad but also happy it’s ending it’s high time the series finally ends God I love this series. I will miss the series and thank you to the author for bringing us this amazing story. I hope your next book is also a banger like this. 😢🥹😊
And just like that... A Manga that could've been one of the Greatest and most well-remembered of recent years... ends with almost all it's quality gone, all the amazing story-beats and well-paced writing completely dropped for the sake of non-stop hype moments and cheap cliffhangers.
A series that wasted all the potential of the world-building of it's Third Act....
A series that set-ups it's main character to have to face the most toxic and unhealthy sides of heroism withing himself... but then shrugs it off with a joke.
A series that Baits it's audience with the death of one of the main characters just because he's the most popular... just to bring him back in the most roundabout and ridiculous way possible.
A series that even forgot who it's Main Villain was and the themes he was conveying.
Goodbye My Hero Academia.... you will go down in History as yet another Cautionary Tale of the Manga Industry. I will treasure greatly the good moments and memories you gave me with your First and Second Act... but i will be forever saddened and disappointed at the prospect of the Glorious Story you could have been.
Truly, truly a tragedy to watch a story unfold
I couldn't have said better than that
This honestly is how I feel about the series it feels so underbake and the character overall just feels so underutilized and has too much focus for no reason
What worst they drag the message to long it's just annoying to sit through
I can't wait for this series to end
Because whenever it does
The fans of the series are going to make their own version of what mha could've been and should've been
I think it's hilarious that people thinkbthis series that constantly sells in the top 10 every year and still has a pretty massive fanbase won't be well remembered, especially since most shounen have bad endings and still are remembered anyway.
I'm honestly glad it's Finally ending
I'd like to see him achieve some time off.. (the dream)
But yeah, it feels like he's been chomping at it for a while.
I'd rather see him doing what really gets him excited for his craft.
Huh, it ends, not with a bang But with a WHIMPER.....😔
Far from the truth and this isn't even the true end
@@RyanGP1203_MemeLord yes, it is. Deku already defeated the Big bad of the story, and most of the villains are already dusted. Now all that's left is how the world and the public come to see him as the World's Greatest Hero, though without any powers

About no one dying: i do think all might should have died
Maybe he could still die after the war but i do think we shouldve seen his death
Bakugou, im fine with him not dying. Having the entirety of 1-A there to finish off AFO was great
Seeing Deku fist bump with Tomura visually tells me that there’s a chance that Deku was transferred One for All.
Hell he could’ve even received All for One and it fusing with One for All could help resolve the whole topic of the Quirk singularity issue. Yoichi did say AfO had the opportunity to be the kindest quirk and this would give it that chance.
Nah, not likely. BOTH quirks are gone, just like the Titan powers in the finale of Aot

@@Sjono no, he didn't. Did you not see how things went in this chapter?
Eh, I'd rather see him pull an All Might...All Might had a suit that replicated all the Quirks of class 1-A so Izuku could have something similar happen so he could still be a hero even with no Quirk. There's a fair few Iron Man Izuku fanfics out there and maybe Horikoshi is gonna go that route...I mean he did with All Might and Stain had a freaking Goblin Glider from Spider-Man ffs...I'd hate to see Izuku have to retire to some boring job now just because he lost One For All when we've seen All Might go full Iron Man and go toe to toe with AFO for a good bit with that suit...without AFO as a major threat anymore izuku using a suit like that would be great since he does have training now to let him keep up as a base human like Aizawa since all his Quirk does is let him nullify other Quirks...it don't enhance his body any.

They already addressed the quarks do not go back to the users
I'm sorry to say that I disagree with your prediction. Lately the volumes of MHA have had 12 chapters each, and according to the MHA Fandom page, there are currently 40 volumes released (in Japan), and as of this (my) comment only 13 chapters not collected into a volume. I'm going to say there will be anywhere from 8 to 11 more chapters before MHA finally wraps up, which will make 42 total volumes to complete the series. Just like DRAGONBALL (Given DB and DBZ manga were originally released in Japan as DRAGONBALL from start to finish, and in the USA DB was 18 volumes and DBZ 26, which when combined equals 42). But, we shall see.
Honestly, the story dropped so much in quality that by now i'm just happy this shit ended.
Same here. I dropped it at the Star and Stripe's arc

Yh with kubo anime fixing it will be huge lets hope the best to last 2 cours
Okay, so I know that the impact that MHA has had on the lives of so many is undeniable, and cannot be downplayed, but my concern isn't that the series is ending. Shonen jump has been very trigger happy with the cancel button over the past few years in particular, and I still doubt that they have found something that can help jjk and the like carry the magazine yet, though I'm certain that others would disagree. I feel like the success of chainsaw man despite it being a short manga played a role in making jump want series to perform similarly in a short timeframe. I seriously hope that they find something soon though, because it feels like modern day cartoon network, where all of the really high quality stuff is on the streaming service (in this case Jump Plus), and the main channel only has a few things holding it up.
deku will most likely have some quirk left they will say eris rewind will kept some portion of quirk within deku...
I thought Eri would rewind him to childhood, and he would be adopted by Aizawa! And raised to be a good guy!
