  • The San Diego Jeep Club Jeep Wrangler build continues and in this episode the team install Rock Hards front and rear harness bars. These bars are going to allow the Jeep Wrangler to use a 5 point harness seatbelt with the PRP suspension seats that were previously installed. Additionally, these bars are going to provide some added rigidity to the Jeeps frame.

Adding a Harness Bar not only gives you a more rigid and stable cabin but also gives you the option to add safety harness belts to your factory or aftermarket seats. The RH4x4 Harness Bar for the Jeep Wrangler JK 4DR bolts to your factory b-pillar using our heavy duty hardware.
The RH4x4 Jeep bolt-in Sport Cage is the cornerstone of Rock Hard 4x4 parts. Developed first for the Jeep Wrangler TJ and proven after years and years of trail use and abuse - the RH4x4 bolt-in Sports Cage has become one of the most popular safety upgrades in the Jeep aftermarket industry.
    Strength
Success stories of our bolt-in Sports Cage are not hard to find. Virtually every Jeep forum online contains detailed user-installed threads and photos of how DIY'ers were able to not only install our cage but enjoy it run after run. This is THE Jeep cage.
With our patent secured over a decade ago we began production on our cages. Each collar, cap, and tube component in our system is produced in house. This gives us total control over manufacturing to ensure that once a system leaves our facility and gets installed in your Jeep, we know it will continue to uphold our sterling reputation.
Our tubing, which connects our collars, is made from extremely strong 1 3/4" .120 wall steel tube and are precisely cut and fit for your Jeep model. There is no guess work when it comes to which component installs where.
    Ease of Installation
Thanks in part to our bolt-in design there is no need to ship you a completely welded together cage system that requires major vehicle disassembly. Our cage ships in a complete package that includes the individual components that assemble into our sports cage. Simply powder coat or paint the color of your choice and use our easy to follow instructions to complete your own install.

I've done a fair bit of reading on cages and harness bars and from what I have learners that rear harness bar is way to low. The bar needs to be at shoulder level or else in a wreck it will probably result in a broken collar bone. Just my 2 cents... love those seats.

I was excited to see you install something from Rock Hard. Lew Barth and his wife (owners of Rock Hard) are an amazing couple and are seriously passionate about Jeeps! They are also members of our Jeep Club in Kearney, NE. As always, thanks for your great videos!

If I member right the harness bar is suppose to be lined up with the rear holes in the seat if not you get into a roll over or crash your going to hurt someone how they are mounted right now

What is the purpose of putting reclining seats in a jeep, and then put a bar behind them , so you can't use them?

I was thinking that I recognized John's voice. I remember using his SPOD video as a guide for my install. I think I used his Lux Lighting rock light video for that install as well. I always pictured Rock Trooper being from Colorado.

This is one of the few sites I always watch the adds all the way through. One of the others, 1st508th Airbornes site. He has been a dog lover and help developing a few 'new' breed of dogs, namely his Blue Bay shepherd and a wonderful Renascence Bulldog, a bulldog now a class of its own. If you guys get a chance, give a brother some love. Thanks. And another great post

How is the LizardSkin holding up? Did you reinstall the carpet or is the LizardSkin strong enough to withstand putting anything on top of it?
