i have a "thing" about slide whistles, but the plastic ones i can usually find are pretty awful. Nice and shrill but the top and bottom of the slide just end up squealing. There is one other metal one like this that Sam Ash sells for more than twice as much. It looks absolutely identical, and all the reviews for it and this Grover featured here are practically identical as well. So THANK YOU for helping me save $14 bucks. It is a lot breathier sounding, but at least it seems to actually play true notes from bottom to top of slide, instead of screeching. Can't wait to annoy everyone in the house when it comes.
I got one of these for Christmas a couple years ago. The package came in super beat up for starters. On top of that, the package has a warning for lead which has kinda spooked me from playing it. I got a trombone I can play without getting poisoned, maybe I'll stick to that lmao
@@erictheelephant ok you get an A for effort. To be fair, that slide whistle is very hard to control pitch. I bought one and the slide doesn't glide freely. The plastic one is way better for playing tunes.
