  • Had to put together a guitar lesson on the Mandalorian theme cause it's a great example of how much you can do in a simple minor scale shape! Rocking the Traveler ESP guitar for this one, check one out yourself:

    A little about me:
Sean Daniel is a man. A man of simple needs and desires. And the one desire, no, the one NEED, that stands above all is to spread the challenges, joy and intellectual stimulus of music to people of Earth and beyond.
Born on the mean streets of upper middle class suburban Chicago, Sean learned the ways of the world through the dizzying heights of success to the lonesome depths of failure and emerged with the promise of a better tomorrow reflecting in his eyes and fiery passion in his belly.
He plays and teaches guitar on his UA-cam channel where he regularly releases original music and projects to the adulation of legions of fans, who often compare him to Chris Pratt and one time Ryan Reynolds. He’s currently in the market for a nice leather jacket.

Now this is something I can really relate to today, at once. Excellent choice sir. Timely, although a season late but I’m glad as this idea never struck me back at the beginning. Too much going on. Thank you so much! Nicely done.

    Hi Sean,
Great lesson. Thank you for explaining the scales and numbering. I am having a lot learning this theory and the fretboard.
Keep up the great work you do!
After the holidays I am hoping to free up some time and try and figure out the fretboard and how to stretch my hand out to play some scales.
    Best always,
    Brad from Long Island

So starting tomorrow im taking a few days off to marathon the mandalorian..last night I prepped food since I'm making street tacos for said marathon...made the spiciest salsa ever and was watching one of your videos....had to try out new stuff immedietly of course so went right to my guitar to play...played for a bit and went to the bathroom...forgot to wash chili oil off my hands and mr peeps is set ablaze!!! A burning that would make mere mortals scream like a banshee...burning lasts forever and I jump in the shower and try to scrub the oil off my tender member...get the burn to a dull pain and go back downstairs to take my mind off of it playing guitar...your orangewood unboxing inspired me so I bought a few...the finish on the Brooklyn is outstanding...love the satin finish on the neck. The satin finish is also great at absorbing chili oil like a sponge and I proceeded to touch my eyes and we start the inferno all over again...so now im in flames north and south...take another shower and try to go to bed because the night is a fail. Wake up this morning to the realization that with all these videos you make with these beautiful women, Sean Daniel's had me going to bed with burning loins😒😒😒

Here is my question: Generally speaking minor is sad, major happy. Neither quality sticks out to me with this melody, although it seems to my perception the melody has both uplifting (or happy) aspects and ominous (or sad) aspects. I would be interested in hearing you speak on minor vs major in relation to the emotional quality of the music and why a minor solo may not qualify as being "sad" or emotionally darker. Thanks.
P.S. Star Wars is more real than you can imagine

    • @chrisa3961
      @chrisa3961 3 роки тому

as far as I know the "emotion" of a music piece in classical music was expressed by the key rather than major/minor. and it isn't just happy/sad, but also like tragic, soft, fearful etc. there is a great german wiki entry (but no translation sorry)

Watch the show again and listen to the theme. It screams minor. Can't miss it.

To be honest, I haven't seen the show. Saw the first few Star Wars movies from the 70s/80s. I liked them and love Sci-fi but for some reason I just haven't watched any other Star Wars related stuff. Maybe I should give it a try? 🤔

Skip the new movies at all costs . The first season of the Mandalorian is decent/good I enjoyed it

Agree with the man above me. Watch the mandalorian and skip the modern sequel films and the spinoffs at all costs. Check out the prequel films released in the 2000s if you’re curious about where palpatine, vadar and Ben kenobie came from. There’s some great stuff in there but the first 3 films are far and away the best

Another vote for skipping the new movies. The Clone Wars is decent to spectacular depending on the arc

@@badgasaurus4211 I know I'm somewhat in the minority but I thought Solo was really good. And I also liked Rogue One. I'm always happy to check out anything Star Wars, but obviously nothing compares to the original.

I did not know that the mandalorian was a hit show, I only know that I bigned watched the whole first season...Episode six a personal favorite, love the love hate thing Sheon has with Mando...in the begining ...Ask your dad, what everbody call the mandalorian Mando instead of Manda...Nice melodic piece to juxtoposition the James Bond theme... you can play that C-minor pattern for fifteen minutes making all kinds of embelishments... Thank you again...Really Cool...
