  • Stabbing and Vehicular Homicide in Parkland
On June 18th, at 09:04 am, deputies responded to a three car collision at 99th St S and A St S in Parkland.
One of the drivers had to be extricated out of their vehicle by Central Pierce Fire and Tacoma Fire. That driver unfortunately passed away at the hospital.
The other two drivers were also transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
Deputies spoke to witnesses who said there was a garbage truck picking up cans on the side of A Street. The black pickup truck went into oncoming lanes at a high speed, ran the stop sign and hit a tow truck, pushing it into the victim's vehicle. That suspect will be facing charges of Vehicular Homicide for his reckless driving which caused a fatality.
At 11:39 am, deputies responded to a stabbing at 136th St E and Pacific Ave. They contacted the victim and witnesses who saw the man get stabbed before the suspect took off on foot.
Deputies were led to the 7-11 on 138th/Pacific Ave where the suspect had walked to. They detained the suspect and a witness was able to positively identify him as our suspect. He was arrested and booked into the Pierce County Jail.

It's truly heartbreaking when an innocent person suffers due to someone else's carelessness. My heart and prayers are with the families affected.

I see drivers like that one every time I drive over 34 miles. Super angry to be 'slowed down' and not being able to tail-gate the car in front of them, or being behind someone who happened to come to a full stop at a stop sign. Tacoma and Seattle area are notorious for having jerk, a. hole drivers.
