Apparently the director’s motto is “Never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity!” He was obviously in love with Miku and her Flappy Pigeon but so many missed moments 😡
While I can empathize with the cameraman's "Objet D' Amour", Kanami and Misa were crushing it up there! "Never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity". lol I'm stealin' that.
I think the reason we like Hate so much is because the Maids have so much fun playing it. They get to go wild. Especially Saiki, since she wrote the lyrics. And Dice is just quintessential, hard rock Band-Maid at its finest. Thx, Rock!
all the girls had a dedicated camera , which were all filming continuously. The person who fouled up was on the video desk , not being able to know when the solos were happen. if i were their management i would get the master copy of all camera footages, and remix the video, as THIS was the point where they swung the whole crowd over and STOLE THE DAY.
Great idea Paul. The camera work on "Hate?" was the only thing that put a dampener on one of B-M's greatest singular live performances in history. If the Maids play it at Yokohama (which will be pro shot for Blu ray/DVD) & get anywhere close to the phenomenal lead/bass conversation of Lollapalooza it will be a thing of beauty indeed.😌🤞
@@GaryHolloway-810 I´m pretty sure we´ll see the Dice-Hate! combination at Yokohama, too, as they´ve played it at, I think, almost every concert from the beginning of July on. Would be a shame if they didn´t in the Grand Final🙂
@@UltraHD.7 Absolutely, & if the Maids can see their way clear to playing "Don't You Tell Me" as well then i think my head will fall off. I'll soon find out when i watch the live stream. Have you got your ticket yet?
@@GaryHolloway-810 of course I have, day one. Watched all their live streams from 2020 on. But the biggest highlight will be, when they announce their great european tour for next year at the end 😊
@@UltraHD.7 Oh man i know. I've been waiting so long for them to come back to the UK. Well since 2019 but it feels like a lifetime when they've already done 2 US tours since then :)
A friend of mine who was the road manager for Journey in the 70’s told me the more in sync the drummer and bassist are the better the band is. Never completely understood that until I heard BandMaid. Both Akane and Misa are hypnotic to watch/hear. And the director needs a refresher course on how to film musicians.
All Maidiacs agree that the director should have been fired for missing a huge chunk of Misa's performance. Open air performances ... most probably the hardest to play but the Maids, as you said truly, completely crushed it. More and more people drifted over through the two songs and while most were into it, there was a real sense from some of them that they were bewildered over what they were seeing and hearing. But the huge roar at the end makes me feel they were all on the same page at the end.
@RockCandy-ix3nn You're not wrong a lalapooza is on the first weekend of August and it's played on the Lake front. It's usually a hundred and five degrees out there and a hundred percent humidity
Clearly nobody in the video crew understood which instrument produces the sound of the bass. For the first half of the set MISA got absolutely no screen time. BAND-MAID were the first band on that stage (following a DJ) on Friday, the second day of the four-day festival. I hope they might get in invited back again, with a time slot after sunset.
I do believe that “Loviet” performed on the Coinbase stage just before our Maids. Honestly, they did ok figuring they probably knew next to nothing about them. They caught on about Misa and showed quite a bit of her.
Its the directions fault from the trailer but yes it is a travesty how incompetent they were. All those cameras and kept switching to the wrong camera.
Totally agree, was a little disappointed with the Hulu camera crew. I think they probably had no idea and were not expecting this level of playing from Band-Maid. Especially for bass players, I noticed they are always overlooked in North American music in general.
I heard the producer said afterthe concert he had no idea the bass player was as big a part of the over all sound and he would have had more camera time on Misa had he known before.
I always wanted to see a female drummer that really impressed me, but few, like Karen Carpenter, actually did. But feels like lately it is young women carrying the torch of smashing things bam bam and I love it! Also El Estepario Siberiano. I know it is the latest fad but you should honestly check him in case you'd like to attest the latest limits reached in drumming 🧐💨🙌
Great pairing of songs with a fabulous bass/guitar conversation during "Hate?". The camera people and director need to pay better attention to what they are doing!
Yeah, the Technical Director either dropped the ball, or they were in love with Akane. Speaking of technical issues you need to invest in another light. What you have doesn't do the job.
Whenever I see this concert, I always think that the crowd is completely overwhelmed by the way they are standing there.

Camera-focus issues aside I think this is the definitive performance of both songs. It’s even more Epic than standard Band Maid Epic-ness.

Exactly! Whoever was directing did a horrible job!
The Maid, of course, killed it!🤘
Absolutely Scary Bandc..So Talented
I'll tell you a secret. The girls actually played 13 Hours before this performance. I was there and they killed it too
Honest to God, they looked a bit stressed to me. I figured the heat, exhaustion etc. In spite of that they put it all out there.

Even the night before the show didn't start till 11 PM and it was still humid in muggy out.

Just BAND-MAID doing BAND-MAID things , yes the camera work a lot to be desired . MISA !!! MISA !!! MISA !!! the Barefoot Bass Assassin .

🤘🤘🤘like seeing bands having fun while rocking out.

Cool Reaction Rock On 🤘
Thank you! You too!
You should do the Official "Dice" video/mv. You get to see MISA and Kanami/Mincho properly!
Will do!
❤❤❤❤❤🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
