  • Developers need the best tools available so they can create new and innovative VR and AR applications. Snapdragon Spaces is a cross-device development platform that allows developers to use 3D engines like Unity and Unreal to create XR apps that work on devices powered by Qualcomm's processors. It is available to download right now!

The operating system of most VR devices is Android? There is no OS that is for VR only yet? Where do we publish our Apps? Thank you (liked and subbed).

Interesting news, thanks for your video and detailed explanation, great work as always! I really like VR and I'm using Unreal since 2019, I know that after years of exclusive plugins (like Oculus, MagicLeap, MS HoloLens, etc), UE5.0+ finallly moved to unify and simplify everything using only OpenXR plugin, but now Snapdragon Spaces feels like a step back returning to a plugin exclusive for snapdragon processors. I wonder why launch it now? Perhaps OpenXR is evolving to slowly for Qualcomm taste?

OpenXR doesn't provide any features like hand tracking, anchor points, etc. It only unifies the input and output methods. OpenXR is completely separate from Spaces

UE5.2 there are OpenXR additional plugins for: Eye Tracker, HandTracking, MSFTHandInteraction and ViveTracker.
Sadly Spaces currently only supports UE5.0 and not newer engine versions.

I want to see something related to Linux.
For example: "All Snap Ubuntu" or Linux in general.
Thank You for reading this comment.

Great. Thanks. Much appreciated. So when you say you want videos on "Linux in general", anything specific, besides All Snap Ubuntu.

@@GaryExplains I would love to see all the advancement happening in the Linux world or Just want to see a video on Linux Distributions ( where these Linux Distributions are not shown as some hard to use operating system or something only for techies. I want to see Linux as a general operating system which can be used by normal people).

Imo nobody is gonna reach Apple level, if the connectivity with their Macs, Iphones devices and softwares like Facetime work as showed(as it probably will, it's Apple) it will be amazing

4k+ for their headset is absolutely ridiculous though. Don't even know an Apple user who has bought their headset
