Brilliant video. Didn't have a clue how the Duotone Click trim worked until I saw this video as always had centre line trim. Not in the Duotone manual anywhere !
At long last I understand how my clickbar works and why I never liked using center lines trim systems! Clickbar is the most easy system for beginners, I love it. Thanks for the super clear explaination!
Thanks for this discussion! I've been viewing your videos since beginning to kiteboard and always appreciate their production and instruction. After getting a lesson using the click bar I became a fan. When discussing it once, I heard the analogy of a bicycle derailleur, where the power up and down is consistent with each click. Plus, at least with the Duotone product, you can quickly look at the bar to see where your setting is. I know a center line trim is visible too, but I like this interface.
Great video but I think you're not right for some points: The click bar is more likely to broke than a trim one because of the mechanism inside it. Also, I find way safer using a trim bar. When you're in an emergency situation it take less than .5 second to put maximum depower with it, you don't have to spam push a button, just a pull on it's line and it's done. And then, trim bar are more rustic and will suffer less if you wash them wrong. I always use clean water to wash mine but sometimes I have to wait a full day to do it and I've never had any problem
Just gone to the 2023 Click bar, its a fantastic system, that depower button is great in gusty conditions, no having to reach up the bar. Works great the Duotone Neo DLabs too
About durability. I bought -22 clickbar and used it less than 20 times. I did break multiple floaters and no warranty. It's ok but really big problem was that when using QR safetyline teared tpu plastic cover and got stuck. As you know, kite wont flag out when safetyline is around tpu cover and kite will deathloop. I really support your videos and recommend your videos to everyone but what comes to Duotone durability and warranties.. Duotone (b&m) had 0 warranty and i spent more than 1000€ using bar less than 20 times. Keep doing videos and i'm glad to hear you had no major problems but -22 model has some serious problems and there was very bad customer service.
You should try the Kauper pintxo bar. It's carbon, has backline depower, the best autoswivel and super small QR. The first model wasn't perfect, but the revision is spot on. It has cowered centre lines and can be renewed cheap. A complete set of QR + 15m centre lines + micro leash costs only 90€
Thank you for the great videos. When you use the throw adjustment feature in the trust bar, in order to make it shorter (for people with shorter hands) - does this effect the front lines length? Would you still be able to get the same amount of power from the kite when pulling the bar close to the body? Asking because I want to jump as high as possible, while still being able to reach the bar comfortably.
Could you do a video on kites with multiple attachment points on the edge of the kite? E.g., the duo tone evo has three settings on the kite for attachment points, but it’s confusing to understand what they do and how it affects the kite’s performance.
With the clickbar yiubshorten the steering lines .. but you do NOT shorten the A o A , angle of attack. As when you shorten the center lines …. I do not know a lot people that like the click bar
@@michaelabel7357if you watch a picture from a kite and the connection points you will see that you are not right .the center lines are connected on the whole leading edge .
Sorry this a poor review. Centerline systems fail with grit, sand and salt. Clicker systems used in centerline systems fail unless you are sponsored by a brand that uses them and replaces them like this instructor.
These are the BEST tutorials on the internet ~ Others are good but this guy has by far the most articulate and comprehensive tutorials ~ Timely too ~
great refresher on depowering & powering up! didn't even know there was a steering line trim bar. thanks for the great vids as always

Hello, why on a new click bar th center lines come longer 5cm when the bar is on full power and full sheet in? thank you
POSSO USARE UNA BARRA DEL NAISCH PARK DEL 2014 CON UN KITE DEL 2024 ?
With the click bar you get into the habit of washing the bar with fresh water every couple of sessions
May I ask... are you sponsored by duotone?
Centre line burns my fingers on the trust bar...
Danke🙏thank you

By shortening the steering lines, you increase the angle of attack as you would when pulling on the bar.
