I remembered this band from a while ago. But I forgot the band name. So I typed in "KEXP Beard" on my UA-cam search. Third result. UA-cam, I am impressed.
Probably the coolest band I've ever had the chance to meet. Played a venue way too small in Milwaukee. Crushed it, got off stage and were more than happy to just drink a few brews with whoever was there. Dunno how they got roped into playing a tiny place, but they gave no fucks and played probably one of the best shows I'll ever see in my life.
Had the same experience when I saw them in Belgium -- I went to two of their gigs. Both times they weren't above mingling and chatting with some fans before and after the show. I remember I asked them beforehand to play Part II for once, and it turned out it was already part of their set. :D
Coolest thing is that they went from sipping brews with good people, to brewing good beer! They recently started a brewery near me in Sperryville, VA called Pen Druid. Royal colors is their best song in my opinion. Greatest moment of the video: 4:10 when the guitarist looks at his brother and you can see how much they enjoy playing.

KEXP is only one example showing me that there are so many, many, many, many artists on this planet knowing how to play their instruments. Its incredible how many talented people exist, so that you ask yourself whats the key for success..although you should not think success is the most important thing

So glad to know I'm not alone with the color associations when it comes to music! XD I associate different colors with certain notes, keys, and chords, too. I find that there are far too few people I come across who know what I mean when I try to explain it how the singer did, but it's pretty much tone synesthesia based on my research on it.
May i say jebus christ how have i not discovered these guys before. Absolutely unadulterated musical geniuses.. I just wanna know which drugs i need to take in what combination to see music in colours!!
I learned about these guys from this video on a UA-cam joyride, and bought Echo Ono on its merits. Love it, but I must confess to preferring the version of Royal Colours on this video. Brilliant sound work from KEXP.
I suddenly came across this performance. At first i thought that this is just another whining rock band and then I got hooked up and stayed for the groove. Pretty huge one. That is why I love to click and listen on the youtube. You can find so much more when you get away from your playlists. To wrap it up - this band is engaging and interesting and it drives more than the guitars they are playing - they drive the drive. ( I am not english speaking guy so forgive me for broken grammar.)
Proof that amazing music can happen when brothers (in this case of varying delicious degrees of aspergers) "play well" together. I feel the color of the sound and they is tasty ;) tunes. Ok ok I got a crush on lead singer ...he seems so organic and ripe.....wish it was a longer set...
