    I love these in depth tours of hotels. With prices so high these days, it’s awesome to see all the options. Thank you for your hard work.

    Great video! I have stayed at AKL, Port Orleans French Quarter and Riverside and Pop Century. FW is my favorite. What I like most is the ability to find peace and quiet after being in the parks. It gives me a chance to relax and recharge before going back to the parks without leaving the WDW bubble.
    BTW, it's not just a choice between a tent and cabin. RVs are tiny houses on wheels as well. Ours has a queen sized bed as comfortable as our bed at home, 2 bunks, forced air furnace and air conditioning, a full kitchen, pantry, dinette which converts to a bed (and is being reupholstered with memory foam), microwave, stove, fridge, full bathroom, sofa bed (also being reupholstered with memory foam), recliner, 3 wardrobes, additional storage, cable connection as well as over the air antenna, entertainment center, dvd player, speakers, 2 tv's, awning, outside shower. We bring a WeberQ 300 gas grill as well, lounge chairs and other outside convenances. Ours is also far, far, far from the fanciest you will find at FW. LOL! Some of those motor homes you see cost as much as $500,000. You guys should rent a trailer Meachum and try it out for a weekend. Even Emma and Casey will enjoy it! LOL!

    Thank you, Quincy, for pointing out the value of this resort providing a more traditional vacation experience on property without too much of the theming. I think Walt Disney would be very proud of this option of lodging as it remains today!!

    This series has been my absolute fav! Such a great example of making the most of one place for a whole range of fun and informative content. Keep up the good work!

    Fort Wilderness is the resort of choice when we stay at Disney. It has so much to do in activities and the easy access Magic Kingdom via boat. Great for large groups. Avoid having to get multiple hotel rooms with cabins, rv, or tent camping. Done all 3, and they're all equally fun. However, i think camping is most fun, especially with large groups 6+

    They still have the Segway tours ?!?! My family did that years ago; had the best time. It was easy to learn to control a Segway yet quite an experience.
    I can't wait for the Fab 4 AllEars ladies do a Segway tour. 👍

    We had some SERIOUS magic made for us here! We camped for just over a week (in a tent) and it was amazing. We were on a super tight budget and spent days at the parks and just at the resort. We just had a blast. Here is some of the magic…. 1. This is the big one. On our arrival day there was no joke a monsoon. Walking to check in we were ankle deep in water. We had no idea how we would set up camp and assumed we would just have to sleep in our car or something. BUT there was availability and so they gave us a cabin for our first day! It sure beat sleeping in the car (with two small children)! They helped us get set up and there was no extra cost. 2. On one of resort days we had planned to spend the day at the pool but there had been some sort of issue and the pool was closed but they allowed us to use the pool at the Lodge instead. When we got to the lodge a storm rolled in about 20 minutes later and the kids were very bummed BUT the lifeguards hung out with them and played games for a while and set the kids up with the scavenger hunt from the main desk (definitely fun!). 3. On our second resort night we were waiting at the dock at the lodge for the boat back across the lake. As we got on the boat the fireworks from MK started and in certain spots we could see them. It was the last run for that particular boat so the captain stopped us at the prime spot on the lake so that the kids could watch. Cast members really are amazing and on that trip in particular really outdid themselves!

    Loved the smackdown at FW. How about something similar at one of the Disney Beach Resorts at Hilton Head or Vero Beach? Dunno what the theme could be, but the distance from Orlando to Hilton Head could make for road trip vibes.

    Curious--How are the noise levels inside? No names, but several other reviewers have commented on the noise from people driving by, especially if they're blasting music or have a 10 inch tailpipe.

      We stayed in a cabin March 2022, and I don't remember any noise. Once you're in the cabin loops it's pretty quiet. None of the cabins are on the main roads.

      We stayed there from 1998 - 2018, and it went downhill over that time span. The last time we stayed at SOG, I received a lecture from housekeeping when I requested an extra pillow! Rude staff, the hallways stink, and you have to show your ID every time you sneeze. I know some people love it, and to each their own, but we bought DVC that trip and never looked back. Plus now the walkway to the Poly is closed, so you have to rely on their bus system (which is horrible). Just my 2 cents.

    • @whotakesallmynames
      @whotakesallmynames Рік тому +2

      Yeah you can. Like most resort amenities, trail rides are available to anyone not just Disney hotel guests 👍 You can book it online or by phone similar to a dining reservation.

    • @lizzieb.9267

      I could be wrong, but I *think* all of almost all amenities are available for non-hotel guests or guests or other hotels with the exception being the pools.
