I LOVE this video. I, too, was a latecomer to Daredevil. I've watched it over and over again with fresh observations each time. I guess the only thing I would add to your video is a whole section on the excellent dialogue. For example, Matt's opening dialogue tells you so much about him: that he is looking for forgiveness, some kind of redemption, that he believes in God, that he's a practicing Catholic and believes he CAN be forgiven through his faith, that his father is dead and Matt is proud of his toughness, that Matt has the devil in him and he's capable of great violence and planning to do more, even though he's blind. But this comment is just my perfectionist trait speaking up as you made excellent commentary on the Frank/DD dialogue. So many good things to say about DD. I hope Marvel's upcoming series won't ruin the previous series' legacy.

That scene with Matt at the begining that you mentioned really did set the pace for the dialogue exchanges in future episodes in the series. The dialogue is excellent, in every season, in every conversation. My favorite dialogue scene is probably the flashback one between Matt and Foggy, Avocados at Law. That conversation feels so real. The lines are delivered so smoothly, flowing perfectly. The actors really sound...real, for lack of a better term---when they laugh, the way they exchange ideas and joke with each other. The slight awkwardness and slight drunkenness....Perfectly done! I think that conversation may have been a one-shot, or else cleverly cut, which made that conversation work quite well. Contrast the avocado dialogue scene with the one between Cap and Tony when Cap rips that piece of wood in half. There's a pause between most of the lines because the camera has to switch back and forth between the two men, which causes the conversation to feel slightly stilted. It was odd to add those extra pauses because both men were angry and people tend to speak more quickly and interrupt each other more when they are angry. RDJ and Chris Evans delivered their lines well, but the moviemakers made a bit of a mess of it. Nobody really talks about Henson's performance as Foggy Nelson, so I wanted to state here that he, too, did an amazing job! He comes across as loveable and goofy, but then you see him stand up to Marci over Mrs. Cardenas and you go, "Oh! There's a reason Nelson and Murdock work together. Foggy knows his stuff! He's got some spine!" Foggy is probably my second-favorite character, after Murdock. He provides comedic relief without *being* comedic relief. He's honest, loyal, and stalwart. Foggy Nelson is *exactly* the friend that Matt needs. Watching Henson, I really believe that he IS Foggy Nelson, accomplished lawyer and loyal friend to Matt Murdock, who doesn't deserve him but gets him anyway.
Gotham used to be my favorite show (Underrated show btw) But after rewatching Daredevil after so many years … bruh. Daredevil’s my favorite show of all time
I loved what little I've seen of the Daredevil cable series! It's more comic-accurate and has a more consistent grimdark tone, awesome hallway fight scenes like Oldboy, and more dramatic actors than the 2003 movie version. Its only problem was the Hand. They needed to be more like '80s R-rated ninja movies!

Yeah this show is a masterpiece, plain and simple. That rooftop scene you mentioned is one of my favorites in all of TV, because it's so well-acted it doesn't even feel like they're performing, it feels real. This and the other Netflix-created Marvel shows (minus Iron Fist, sorry lol) are what the newer Disney Plus ones should aspire to be like, because currently they pale in comparison. Like it's not even close haha
you just jogged the memory of that scene for me, I think im gonna have to go rewatch it again now lol. Yeah, it truly is something crazy to think that such a great scene was so dialog heavy and just two morally based characters chatting it out. And yeah Daredevil is in a league of its own compared to a lot of other shows, So far out of the Disney plus shows I would say I really enjoyed Loki!

daredevil, the boys, and punisher are definitely some of my favourite tv shows in general tbh.. if u wanna see some fucked up kills watch the boys, it is insane. if u liked daredevil u will like punisher, they are both written really well and feel like they actually have some thought put into them unlike some other superhero shows

I recommend watching Covert Affairs to "manage expectations" The writers of Covert Affairs are in charge of writing the new show and im honestly rooting for them. No one wants content they watch to be disappointing or sad. I just hope they learn the lessons of daredevil season 3. Season 2 had to set up defenders introduce punisher and elektra and explain the black sky. Season 3 they had way more time to write it and it was basically a masterclass in creating elevating tension. Also I dont care about foggy and Karen as much as I do sister Maggie and Bullseye coming back. Obviously ideally all four come back.
ahh nice, I'll look into checking it out! And yeah season two had a lot of stuff too juggle, I personally thought everything was phenomenal outside of the black sky storyline. And it would be interesting to get characters like sister Maggie back, she's interesting to me as well.
So funny - about a week or so ago I did the exact same thing! I had always heard about how great it was but had somehow missed it all the first time around. But like you - one day I just randomly decided to finally watch it … And like you…. Once I started … I couldn’t stop! Like so many, I’ve gotten pretty bored with superhero films in recent years because there’s just been WAY too many… But this series reminded me of how much fun they once were. I did add in Defenders after season 2 ( which was good but not great) because when I started watching season 3 it became obvious that I had missed some pretty HUGE developments after the second season ended lol !! But with seasons 1-3 this series is just a masterpiece and is not only easily the best Superhero TV series of all time… It’s up there with the very best TV shows in ANY genre. Marvel series on Disney Plus have been pretty hit or miss so far but hopefully Daredevil Born Again will be a worthy continuation of this classic series! Great job on the video!

I love the editing and flow of this video, and I can only see your videos getting better. If anything, I would advise maybe being a bit more descriptive when you're talking about an aspect of the show? For example during the cinematography section you speak about it being "visually beautiful" a couple of times, but not going too in depth why. Maybe mentioning the way the show uses depth of field, explaining how long takes are used, and elaborating more on color contrast could do well. Things like choreography, while I agree are fantastic, maybe don't belong in the cinematography section. Just some things to think about, but man am I excited to see this channel grow!!!

And yeah trust me I wanted to dive deeper into some of the examples, but I felt like it would lead to the video being so much longer than I initially planned. so when writing the script for this one I tried to keep myself from going off on tangents and tried to focus on the main idea while still giving some of the things I thought were interesting to keep the run time down. I do however think adding in some of the things you mentioned would be a great idea like contrast of color, and talking about how long takes impacted the show more instead being like "hey look at this, its really cool"😂. When I decided to watch I more so just wanted to watch the DD show to begin, and decided to let my impression on that guide me to the other series. DD was the one I heard the most good things about so I wanted to give that a swing more than anything else

When I decided to watch I more so just wanted to watch the DD show to begin, and decided to let my impression on that guide me to the other series. DD was the one I heard the most good things about so I wanted to give that a swing more than anything else
