- Tuesday's night's epic traffic jam on Los Angeles' 405 Freeway may be one of the worst in history. The massive traffic on the notorious highway was caused by an influx of commuters coming in and out of the city for Thanksgiving. Many drivers vented frustration on social media. "Are you sure that's traffic?" One person posted on Twitter. "Maybe they decorated the 405 with Christmas lights." Another tweeted: "it's called the 405 for a reason: it takes you '4 o' 5' hours to get anywhere." #InsideEdition

Back when I lived in Malaysia, I remember getting stuck in traffic for 16 hours on a trip that could have taken 4 hours only
I got stuck in a traffic jam for 7 hours when a gas tanker in alabama flipped over at around midnight blocking the whole highway..took several hours for a hazmat team come to clean it up. A lot of just got out of our vehicles and turned them off and we all just talked and chilled lol

This reminds me of the time when I was actually stuck in a traffic for literally, and I'm not joking, 6-7 hours after an Exam, and 2-3 hours just to get to the venue of the exam.
Thank God that my mom was such a nice and social person, that the parents of another examinee, like myself, gave us a ride, and google navigation(?) telling us which road or intersection might a bit less packed, otherwise news reports actually showed that many, and I mean MANY people were actually stuck in traffic for 9-10 hours!

All I can say as a daily 405 commuter, it is the worst experience you can deal with.
