    Hey man, it’s really cool that you make these videos for us people that like to work on our own bikes. And do it for the love of the sport not just to sell people stuff. I have a yz250x and thought I had the 2atroke pretty much figured out but your like a wizard with these yz’s. You’re teaching people stuff that you really can’t find anywhere else online.
    I’m happy for you that you were able to buy your new yz with your UA-cam money. It’s bad ass you sound just like joe dirt too!!! Thanks.

      Thanks. Hope your 4th and the weekend has been good! Got the first ride day in on her today. It went very well. The motor is very strong and super crisp, and the suspension was not far off right off the rip. I didnt know what to expect but was pretty surprised. I should have the video on by tomorrow evening. I still have some more tuning to do but its dam close as is which is good.

    Bike is turning out great you made out good on that bike just a little work and she's mint. Love the look of modern YZ's. Still have my dads old 96 YZ125 those graphics take me back.

      Thanks! Thats too cool you have your dads 96. I remember seeing the 96 YZ125 in the mags back in the day. That was the first year it did better than the CR125. That was the bike to have in 1996.

      Right! Surely satisfying. I will be swapping frames on a YZ250f on thurdays (Joey cracked his frame). Its not as fun as a build but wondering if I can get a frame swap done in one day Hmm

    Fuel vent line also causes those bearings to get nasty. I keep my vent line zip tied off to the side.

    I believe the POWER JET kit in in a different range of powerband for range for the 18 vs 22 up. It more on top when it activates for 22 and up

    • @UpAllNight91
      @UpAllNight91  Місяць тому

      Hello. The manual for the 125 and 250 in all years says the same as far as function so I think the manual is a generic explanation. But when I check them I'm finding slightly than what the manual states. I also find the 18 and 22 work the same in the same ranges and throttle positions.

    Using a pressure washer to clean the bike will cause the rust problems you're seeing. If you use a pressure washer you need to pull things apart and grease them more often.

    • @UpAllNight91
      @UpAllNight91  Місяць тому

      For sure. I suspect thats what the original owner did. Thats one of the reasons I resist using a pressure washer myself lol

    • @UpAllNight91

      Stock pilot, needle, and clip setting. The main is a 172. The head has been rechambered with the squish tightened up which surely helps jetting.

    What is the break in procedure for a brand new yz250? I’m transitioning from the 250f to the 2 stroke when they release the 2025 bikes and I can’t find a solid answer.

    On the hunt for an '06-'15 yz250 to join my '05 yz125 (with '10 SSS forks swapped on). Found a solid '15 model that's 2 hours away with several goodies on it, but the suspension is valved for 180 pounds (I'm 155) and it's got a Lectron carb on it.
    Feel like I'd rather have the stock Keihin since I've always heard the air stryker Keihin carb is so good. Although I did notice Jared Lesher's yz250 when I was at the Bham supercross was apparently running a Lectron carb, but maybe that's just from sponsorship?

    • @UpAllNight91
      @UpAllNight91  Місяць тому

      I like the Keihin, its far more quality than the letron. I wouldn't trust the letron on a track bike to be honest. The throttle slide is not chrome coated and they get worn out in the throttle slide area with lots of friction. But you can always convert it back to the Keihin if the price is right.
