That looks sweet! Awesome that the transmission and diff gears are interchangeable with the FCX24s! Having 7mm hex size opens up the tire/wheel options too

I really like the 1:24 small scale stuff because I find it easier to justify buying another truck haha
Love the size of this! The Chevy Colorado license is making the rounds. I wanted to get the FairRc EazyRC 1:18 Colorado but couldn't justify the cost of it to just be buying a pretty body. Caught the original MJX 16208 (on which it is based) during the Alix sale for just $ 81. But this little car is a totally new breed to me! And it looks even smaller than the Granite Grom which I also like. Yeah this would be worth picking up, if only to round out the fleet. :)
Wow that's amazing! A brushless motor, esc and 3s or 4s lipo in that would be nuts.

Wow this thing looks great! You should put some rubber strips on the bottom of your ramp. It will help grip and keep it from sliding. Might help

Looks sweet! Small bashers are great but I'm always worried about parts availability ,but not with FMS stuff. Also want to see someone make an ifs crawler
I'm thinking we're more likely to see someone shoehorn the trans\motor combo from this basher into a K5.. I mean, Tomley has already done a brushless FCX24 K5 speed build, but I feel like this 370 and higher gearing would complement the FCX lineup well... Until things start breaking, lol

Looks like what i wanted the smasher to be. Handles landing on jumps better due to lack of hard body. Looks wider too to limit roll overs
Yes! It’s so much better than the smasher for bashing. I liked the looks of the smasher but it was a crawler turned into a basher which was still better than most of our original monster truck builds but I feel like this is what we really wanted!

I just bought a Mini T 2.0 and started building it and this comes out. 😂 it never fails. Every time. I bought the Smt10 week later LMT. Bought 2wd VXl week or two later 4x4 rustler. Ive been lookin at 5th scales😮 watch some new badazz rig will come out after I pick one up😢😂
I know the feeling! I almost bought another xmaxx the other day. I wanted to build one that’s not so overpowered. The best one I ever had was slightly upgraded on power and a better servo but basically stock otherwise. I want another one like that but I was afraid as soon as I order everything something new will hit. Especially the way these companies have been dropping stuff lately!

They NEED to come out with a brushless version of this soon! I know it'll be insanely overpowered but that's a 'risk' I'd bravely be willing to take.

You think you’d be able to drop that trans and motor right into the smasher? Curious about the figment. $21 for that on their site and would be a nice drop in upgrade for the other fms trucks.

I was going to say compare it to the EasyRC Chevy Colorado then realized this is 1/24 scale and tiny! lol. How about running the UDIRC 2 in 1 brushed ESC receiver that can handle 3s? Not sure if you have one. I have one to try once mine comes in. Seems to be small enough to fit.
On Rc Review, his box had the option of brushless or brushed

I saw the fairrc video on this earlier shortly after I saw the teaser shown on SNU. Was wondering if you would be the first I'd see with a full review on it 😂
Not bad, but somehow I am also not too excited. While a faster model in 1/18 or better 1/24 scale was due, I would have preferred something more proper scale looking. For example an 1/18 version of a trophy truck similar to what Orlandoo are offering in 1/36. In that case I‘d also prefer a solid rear axle with big travel above this buggy type independent suspension.
I have the Orlandoo Hunter trophy truck. That thing is cool for it's size, but it would be awesome as a 1/18 scale truck!
Where did you buy your ramp? I need a small scale ramp for these trucks.
I can't decide between this FMS FMT24 or the Eazy RC 1/18 Colorado for the same price! You've tested both. Which one would you recommend?
were you able to change your settings to where you don't have to double tap to reverse?
Yes. With the truck & transmitter on double tap the rev button,the light will start to flash,then tap the bind button. There are 2-3 different settings with the brake so try it after hitting the bind button. It should have a little more brake but still be forward/brake/reverse. Hit it again and it should have even more brake etc. Eventually one of the settings is forward/brake. Double tap the rev button to exit the menu system. Let me know if it works for ya!

That little thing looks like a Blast!! Not sure why it needs two speeds though. Did you try it in low gear? I might have missed that part if you did.
Yes. I kinda mentioned that I think the best thing about the two speed is for indoor running or for a younger kid to enjoy it. Besides that I had it in high all the time lol
@@2fmrc I might have to grab one. I agree on how much fun the smaller bashers are. I have the e revo vxl mini but the diffs cant handle 3s stock
Metal isnt always the best for bashing.. when it bends it stays bent, with plastic its able to flex on harder impacts... side note did you know steel is more elastic than rubber.
Also the transmission is all metal gears, so brushless ready!!
Yeah I won’t touch metal or aluminum on my larger bashers. I don’t even buy a truck with an aluminum chassis often lol. I think the aluminum hub will hopefully hold up better than the stock one though. It’s got a lot of play lol
@2fmrc it looks nice, but metal does sucks for bashing.. an the hubs should hold up nice depending how heavy the rig is.. excited to see the brushless setup..
where do you buy that red jump ramp. also, make it a crawler, IFS 1/24?
Yeah you definitely could. I don’t really see why everyone loves ifs crawlers so much so probably not happening for me lol. But it could work I’m sure.
Here’s a very similar ramp. The one I have is hard to come by now but links together with others to build wider ramps. This one would work for this truck though. Plenty wide enough.

Possibly. Doubt it would last long lol. That was one of my main issues with the smasher. It looked cool but the hard body stayed trashed from my bashing lol

Kind weird that FMS comes out with this, that looks comparable to scale with SCX24's, etc. But at the same time, but gets the Unimog and others quite wrong. Is there a war in the design department there? One faction using imperial 1/24 scale and the other using metric 1/24 scale? .....😂

It’s basically the same size as the smasher. Maybe slightly wider. I may work on another vid soon comparing sizes a bit more etc.

Do not recommend this truck to anyone its difficult to work on if you bbreak any of the steering its not a beginner rc car needs special size rims if you wamma change tires therr is so micn wrong with this car i really regret my purchase
Mines been great! Lots of people who love it so far. Sorry you’ve had a bad experience with it but mines been way tougher than my losi lmt 1/18 I picked up lol
@@2fmrc when it was working it was a good rc truck but the whole design is not designed for a beginner to repair or I have a feeling fms will move on to another truck and ther wont be any aftermarket parts and if you can figure a way to upgrade tires would be nice
@@champ432texas7 should be able to make the smasher wheels and tires fit it. I haven’t tried but I think they’ll fit with little work.
FMS has really impressed me as of for the year! Rc companies usually don’t impress me at all! I might just get this
