The Plot
Sandra and her friends gather for a night of partying at a friend's house, only to find themselves facing a terrifying threat: killer aliens that look like rubber string balls. As the night unfolds, they must fight for survival against these otherworldly assailants, testing their friendships and resourcefulness in a battle for their lives.
Attack of the Killer Things Cast and Crew
"These Things" embodies the spirit of classic horror comedies like "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" and "Critters". It’s been some time since we’ve seen a satisfyingly absurd alien invasion flick, and "These Things" promises to deliver just that. While we draw inspiration from the glorious films of the 80s, "These Things" carves its own path. Its compelling characters and blend of comedy, action, and horror set it apart. This marks our inaugural venture into feature-length horror, and excitement abounds among everyone involved.
Another compelling aspect of "These Things" is our commitment to practical effects, spanning from the aliens to the blood. Kraig Sturtz, renowned for his work on our debut film "Heavy Duty Man," is applying his expertise from projects like "Harbinger Down" to our production. Already, he's showcased the captivating movement of "These Things," which is undeniably impressive. Though we can't disclose the aliens' name, you'll instantly recognize them.
Our cast boasts a blend of seasoned talents and emerging stars, featuring Jordan Hundley (Bloody Summer Camp II), Kay Leahy (Bloody Summer Camp), Kristinia Santiago (Casting Couch Slaughter), Heather Harlow (Phobic), Justin Martin (Shriekshow), Tony Bazemore Jr. (Anna Key), and Hunter Redfern (Crackcoon). Each member brings a wealth of horror film experience and some seriously impressive screams!
The screenplay was crafted by the acclaimed screenwriter Matthew Lee Anderson, who also takes on the role of director. Adam Donovan serves as our cinematographer (Film Name Here), while Andrew Stainer, a longstanding member of the Key 13/Cinephoto team since "Serious Profession," assumes the position of sound engineer. Amanda Megan fulfills the vital role of Intimacy Coordinator, and we're also seeking volunteers to assist as our "Thing" wranglers.
What We Need from You
Your contributions are instrumental in bringing this incredible film to life. The majority of funds will be allocated towards compensating and sustaining the actors, crew (including camera operators, sound technicians, gaffers, and the SFX team), and covering the special effects budget. Achieving our stretch goals will enable us to enhance the special effects budget, extend filming days, and accommodate expenses for housing, transportation, and location usage. Remaining funds will be allocated to cover fees, taxes, and other associated campaign costs.
