I can see why paradox would add Lithuania-Belarus, as it existed for like a year or so to prevent a war between USSR and Poland, but Estonia-Belarus? Wtf are you smoking my guy

I think they didn't wanna make different communist paths for baltics and just copy paste communist lithuania for all of them

The funny part is that Estonia isn’t even Catholic… Estonians were mostly Protestant (they’re mostly irreligious now) and the Russian minority was orthodox
Today most Estonians identify as “no religion”, which is not the same as irreligious. You can be irreligious and still belong to a religious community for cultural or social reasons. The terms are not interchangeable.

When you play on ahistorical the ai is weighted to go down certains focus trees depending on the country you play. So Germany staying facist in all these runs is intended by Paradox. If you change the ai behavior to random in the game settings, you can make the ai actually do something different. The only countries you can't change the behavior of are the chinese warlords, like Shanxi, for whatever reason.
Shanxi never makes it to 1940 no matter what bullshit happens
I think thats because china warlords overthrowing commie/nat china too much can mess up with the game. Now if only they did the same to the eternal soviet civil war...

Yes, they fix order 66 in the latest patch note (the one from tuesday 5th December 2023) : - Fix of bug where sometimes on start of war enemy divisions which had military access were not teleported out from country.

43:09 yeah good old order 66 only works if you declare war on a faction member or a guarenteed country, if you join a war or declare war on puppet of your target they will teleport to your capital magically

I just want to comment to say this series is absolutely phenomenal for all the dorks who love hoi4/paradox games but don’t actually have enough time to be good at them. A couple of these are pretty much exact play throughs of what I have done because I love formables and I love minor nations even down to the save scumming and switching between ideologies. Absolute treat to watch on the weekend after my finals releasing all that pent up stress.
The England part was so goshdarn hilarious! Probably the best part. Loving your videos man!

for reference the the Soviet side of the focus tree adds 1.3 million people in total to each Baltic nation, since it's like 260k*5 for each Baltic nation, or at least Estonia (the focus adds 260k men to each state). Estonia starts off with 1.1 million people. You can basically double your population with a single focus as Soviet-aligned Estonia.

@@talesferreiralimadossantos8806 As the 2nd out of 2 Latvian people this is how to say it. So he got the ''Liep'' part right however the letter ā is just like a longer a so in english it would be smthing like Liepaaja and the ''ja'' part is like a German ja but shorter a so like Lie-paa-ja

The auto sixth sixth is not removed, if you declare war on your enemy with your trops inside him they will teleport , but with they declare they will not , auto sixth aixth works only in defensive wars
funniest part is that Latvia barely borders Belarus and Estonia does not AT ALL, so in order to reach most of your country, you need to walk through Russia

Mate, a bit of advise for when you want to do paratroopers again, do the special forces doctrine and go for paratroopers, in ome of the branches there will be an option that will make the enemy lose like 50% or 40% of their org when your paratroopers land in a province, that could be really useful when making offensives against a lot of enemy units

I am trying to form the Persian Empire with Iran as communist...I took most of the middle east, with the Soviet's help, but then they went to war with the allies while I learned how horrible it is to try and take Afghanistan. Without air support. I had build a bomber to nuke their capital before I could finally take it. I puppeted Greece when germany lost. I then attacked the soviet union after they started losing a war against the allies and joined the allies. I got some land as a reward. Then I invaded Ethiopia. I'm currently switching over to democracy so I can join the American Union, which is currently stomping communist Britain...I set it to historical, but I think the game gave up on that after Germany fell.
But he could’ve gotten like 19 factories in total, if he had just went through the allies, and then seize the means of production but he wastes on one civilian factory

Communist trees usually suck, but I can't get too mad at Paradox considering they don't have much to work with given the ideology's nature and the fact the history of most communist states is being a USSR puppet. For the monarchist trees they got a whole bunch of history to pull from, and since fascism is ultra-nationalist they can play off national identity for those. Democracy also sucks but that's for gameplay limitations, not so much the trees themselves.
