Nike has their pressurized air sole technology, which is quite firm by today's standards. ON should call their holes "atmosphair" technology - same as air pods, but using lower pressure air from the atmosphere for a softer ride.
Well I'm stuck on whether or not to get the Gel Nimbus 25 or the Shift 3. The Shift 3 is on sale for $139 Canadian and the Nimbus is full price at $209 Canadian. I guess I'm looking for a very comfortable daily shoe that gives me lots of cushioning but is also responsive. I'm not a runner but do like a good walk. Your advise would be appreciated.
Depends on whether you want something soft or firm. Shift is going to be firmer and a bit more responsive while the Nimbus is super soft, comfort-oriented and best for easy miles. If you want a daily trainer that can be versatile for all types of runs, I would go with the the Shift. If you already have a daily shoe and want something more for recovery runs and walks, then the Nimbus can be a good option
What would be good for someone who is around 280 6'0 and stands all day but also moves around in hot days and not much running. I was thinking the On Cloudmonster for more air breathing but would the Gel-Nimbus 25 be better for all day use?
Brooks Ghost Max! My favorite shoe for standing and walking - it's comfortable and cushioned without being too soft. Gel-Nimbus is a little too soft for my liking for standing/walking and also does not have a breathable upper. The ghost max also has a very breathable upper
