Matt, by the way, when you fly into KATL, you land on the outer runways and takeoff on the inner runways!!!!!
Christian Samuels that is normal due to the traffic volume at ATL, but it's not mandatory. All the runways have IAPs for commercial use, so if traffic is light enough ATC can hand out inboard runway landings, I mean it's a shorter taxi to the gate! Less fuel. I've seen it done several times coming into DFW.
2018paulrobbinx I live just about 15 minutes from KATL, I see planes fly over my house everyday! I'm just saying that according to real life ATC at KATL, you MUST land on the outers and takeoff on the inners. Same for VATSIM ATC. They require you to follow the rules as if ATC was online as well
Christian Samuels techically both of you are correct. When I control ZTL (Atlanta center) 9/10 I will land on the outers but if there is no traffic, I will land an aircraft on the inner runways for convenience sake. Same thing happens in the RW late at night.
The only reason I've seen them land on the inner is for emergencies and if the outer is closed. Just speaking from what I've seen at work

AFAIK, the amber "REV" indication was caused by using emergency reverse thrust and can be cleared with the engine exceedence reset button on the overhead panel.

£100,000.00 for a full size A320 cockpit really it's that expensive, I would of thought £50,000 would be enough.

zachary lampman Yup that's probably it lol. £100k though seems excessive amount of money for a A320 Cockpit i've seen people build them for around £30k - £50K, For £100k you could build the cockpit and maybe half of the passenger cabin aswell.
MAVERICK 42 a320 FFS (sims used to teach future pilots ) costs something about 10000000€ so 100000£ are not that mich but for that you will be able to buy sim from flight deck solitions ;)
That is a beautifully modeled plane! I get to see one come in to Cleveland (OH) Hopkins Int'l once in awhile and this is so spot on. Awesome.

I think the REV indicates you went into emergency reverse. Tap F2 once for idle reverse, twice for full reverse and three times for emergency reverse

Hey Matt, you should probably try to clean up earlier in general. If you are clean before 2000ft as supposed to 4000ft you can save quite a bit of fuel in the real world aircraft. And climbing out that slow only makes you climb steeper but not faster. Most airliners climb the quickest at 250 to 280kts. So hanging around at V2 with quite a bit of flaps extended just costs time and fuel.
LaGuardia is a good domestic airport. I've flew out of there numerous times. I just love LaGuardia.
AdamGropper AG53 seriously? I have as well but I have to disagree. Sure the inside is nice but the setup is terrible trying to drive in and out is completely atrocious. It is still under construction and most likely will be for another 10 years.
Pilot737_Sanchez Driving Into LaGuardia is confusing also a little challenging. I do agree with the setup that is a little run down.
Anyone else want to copulate with their TFDi 717........because I'm lovin' it.

Matt Davies, you only activate the Auto Flight system once you advance the throttles to take off power.
TinyPikelet that would depend on the SOP.
Autoflight is the autothrottle. It needs to be engaged for TOGA to get engaged. Many SOPs have the Autoflight armed with the before takeoff checklist

Can this match any PMDG or Majestic plane in terms of flight dynamics? I'm looking into to getting it, but want to see what other pilots think. To me it looks great but I haven't heard much about the flight dynamics. Thanks!
Flight dynamics maybe. Systems so far, close outside of the mcdu which is only 75% done. However this plane isn't anywhere near a finished product. There are at least 30 and maybe as High as 50 bugs with it. a good chunk of them make the auto flight and navigation impossible. So it isn't complete yet, if you want to bet on them keeping their word go ahead, if you don't want to risk it I would stay away until it is really done. And in P3D fslabs spotlights causes a CTD but that's fixed with disabling spotlights if you have it.
Ok, thank you. Do they have an estimated time for the complete product, and how many of the bugs were present in the video. I saw a few but 30-50 bugs seems high but I don't have the plane. I'm taking your word and are these bugs in items such as the plane keeping its course, glide slope, speed, altitude etc. Thanks!
I hand fly ILS's so I don't know for sure about that but I have heard that it'll stay low on glide slope. To get an Idea about the number of bugs look here. forums.tfdidesign.com/index.php?/forum/24-support/ Given the number of bugs there and the fact the MCDU is only 75% done, a few months is my best guess.

Thanks a lot for the reply! Well, I've costumised this one in the link, so that it has more storage and a better graphics card etc. You think it's gonna run FSX smoothly? (I don't use many addons except from payware aircrafts).
Its definitely not worth it for me, you can get a 1080 for that money too (in Singapore)
Chillblast are very expensive and in my opinion offer limited options which I find restricts you when spec'ing a pc. There is no denying Chillblast are a decent brand, the awards speak for themselves but there are alternatives such as Wired 2 Fire who I have chose to go with simply because they were cheaper and offered exactly what I wanted. I so wanted a Matt Davies pc from Chillblast but found upgrading basic spec pricey, Matt supports the Flight Simulator community and has his own range of Chillblast pcs. If your on a tight budget like me you have to look elsewhere for certain parts which cost less and compromise a bit, certain Chillblast pcs have different opinions which are limiting if you want something specific which all pc retailers' are guilty of, it all boils down to what you want and can afford and what options there are for a specific build
