Great video! I feel confident now in terms of cooking pork chops. YAY.
Just got my first box today.. I am looking forward to trying this method for cooking the beautiful chops.mmmmmmmm
Excellent way to cook pork chops! Thank you.
Just made these from my last butcher box. The sear made the difference. I used pickled jalepeno juice for the liquid. Juiciest pork chops ever.
Always make it easy to make. Thank you
How should you adjust cooking times if the pork has been thawed out?
Genius! I boil frozen meat to tenderize them faster...then proceed to cooking whatever dish I want later.
the irony, kosher salt on pork
I followed this almost exactly. Except I added catalina dressing. Never did it before, but it was really good. I poured all the carmelized dressing on the meat. Really good!
Unbroken Hammer
Oh yours sounds Yum yum!! I am going to do my butcherbox chops tomorrow with Dorothy Lynch sauce. That stuff is amazing. Never done it with chops but only one way to find out👍🏻.
3 minutes into video now you are adding the seasoning WOW
Thanks! Just got some pork chops from Slanker (great on line ordering... no subscription necessary) and I will use this recipe!
perfect! I wanna work in that kitchen bro....
I confidently go to check my chops temp 10 minutes in.. 40 degrees Fahrenheit..
Mine were still completely raw after 20 minutes at 325... Not sure why that happened other than my oven being broken?
can you rest it in the cast iron or would it be too hot and keep cooking it?
What about the sauce in the pan? That’s liquid gold! It’s essentially a pork jus. Why put extra salad dressing over the top, when you could have jus?
Can I use butter with canola oil? I get anxiety with mixing oils lol
Is there something else you can use instead of vinaigrette?
Great video! But I should have watched this before defrosting chops in the fridge and forgetting about it. How late is too late? lol There's not *much* of a smell or greying. Thanks! :)
What’s the recipe for the vinaigrette for the pork chops?
Any bottled italian salad dressing works. 1950s girls with Italian Bake at church potlucks were 'dowry ready' (parents hunting eligibles), or 'newleywed budget'.
Came to the comments looking for a replacement for the vinaigrette. Disappointed that I don’t see any replies from the chef
every time you open the oven it lets out all your cooking heat out not a good idea to be doing that it makes cooking take 3x as long.
I like his cooking technique, but just couldn't get past his handling the pepper mill as well as the oil bottle right after he handled the raw pork!! Not a very food safe move!!
How bout the fingers on the raw pork and then into the salt
@@shescraftytoo 😆- lol that other people think like me. I was cringing..
I followed this but even after 15 minutes my chops weren’t nearly done.
I got scared he would cut his finger off for some reason
He said cook 15 minutes NOT 10 minutes like the recipe says😕
He also said cook until it reaches a temp of 145 F and to check the temp during cooking so it doesn't over cook. If you check your meat, problem solved.
Even though I tried to give you the benefit of the doubt for everything else, you were clearly digging into the salt, using the pepper grinder, and pouring your avocado oil, with raw-pork-fingers. Poor hygiene is very distracting.

These videos are great, if you actually get these cuts in your box! I usually get ground pork. Have not a clue what to do with it and feel my boxes, except for the first one, are way over priced. I will be discontinuing my subscription!
Thank you for your feedback! We are aiming to share recipes for all of our cuts to better support our members. We'd hate to see you go, please reach out to Support@butcherbox.com so our team can assist you!
You can choose what you want in your box! I just got free bacon for life, worth every penny!
You pick!
I pick my meat every month. I’ve been a member for awhile now, and like almost everything. I will say, we love the ground beef, but the hamburger patties, not so much, so I make my own patties, Salisbury steak, meatloaf. Try the hotdogs, 😋.
@@obiwan5999 Damn lucky you! I got the free ground beef for life but would trade that for bacon in a heartbeat
He just put his dirty fingers in the bowl of salt after touching the pork. Big no no
You sure about that? It didn't look like one continuous take. Anything could've happened in between takes, from one shot setup to the next. He could've made a sandwich in that time for all we know.
oceandrew haha right
new channel you the troll. I’m just stating the obvious. Not trying to get a tapeworm.
@@johnbarton5
The problem of getting a tapeworm from pork, especially Heritage pork, has been eradicated. Not to mention YOU would not be eating what he was preparing for the demonstration. All you OCDers need to lighten up and focus on the recipe. A TV demonstration is not the same as preparing food for someone to actually eat.
