So many have come here including Paige Bjerkaas Shue.
Also Bill Boylan was amazing as a friend of disc golf and somehow there should be another tournament on that classic track

    This is great.
I started playing disc golf ate the age of 44.i discovered it when I moved to Hatteras Island, NC
Now, I live close to Asheville and I try to get in at least 3 rounds per week.
It's one of the main things that my 9 year old son and I enjoy doing together.
    I love this video.

My first time playing disc golf was at Horizon park just this past year. I had no clue it was the first course in NC. This was a well put together documentary.

Grew up on Brent Rd. Kentwood and Jim Markov molded me into the great golfer I am today. Played the summer doubles from 09 to present day and won the Am in 2012 and in 2017 shooting best average for open.

Wow. This was incredible. So many amazing people have been involved in this sports' history. I'm sure it took an extreme amount of courage to talk about disc golf in a serious manner back then. God bless you all for displaying it.
Now let's go kick some ass

Excellent film! As someone who has travelled and lived briefly in NC, I can totally appreciate so many things this film calls out. Not only Charlotte, but Connelly, and Horizons!

Amazing story, thankful for that "generation"! As that era retires, (I was mentored by them) I sure do miss learning, listening and working w/ them....more and more everyday! Funny story about professional Bmxers and disc golf, the only other riders who played disc golf, other than myself, were from North Carolina, Greenville to be specific! I am from Washington, was lucky to have found disc golf and NC style courses in the PNW courtesy of Scott Papa!

Donovan, thank you so much for your comment! This is the first I have really thought about this. I know I didn't interview any experts of the women's field on NC disc golf but it did come up briefly in conversation and for the most part, on a local level, NC women's disc golf is still very small and growing more and more in the past few years. But it definitely could have made for a good mention especially in the "NC Point Series" chapter since in 2018 when this documentary was recorded and originally debuted, that was the first year that the 'Open Women' division was included in the Point Series.
Thank you for noticing this. I think this is a great "10th Inning" opportunity for this documentary and I hope to learn more about NC Women's disc golf now. Cheers!

Hi Aaron! I love this video and the process they talk about how to start up tournaments! I hope to someday be a tournament director/course designer! The way they explain everything in a great and meaningful way says so much about their passion for achieving and being the pioneers of the sport! 🥏
