  • The Adventures with Bill series lives on! This time it's Bill Cobb & Bill Spach, two of the hugest fire lookout buffs in the northeast.
Our mission? To rehab the mothballed fire warden's trail on Coburn Mountain, in Somerset County, Maine.
Should be easy, right? Not so much, not with five decades of neglect. Coburn's tower was in operation from 1910 to 1968, when it was deactivated. (Not entirely unlike the Enchanted Ski Area, deactivated only 4 years later!)
If you come to see this expecting major displays of trail-rehabbing, you may not get your money's worth. Just a few dudes trying their best to beat back 50 years of rampant, unchecked tree growth. All you could ask for, these days
    Enjoy!!
