@@Chris-sq7pgI feel as though I’m already blue belt level perhaps even one or two stripes I’ve been going for 6 months everyday except Sunday’s frequently I go 2-3 times a day but I did take off one month for an injury and I feel I have a very good attitude I do everything properly show up on time shake everyone’s hand greet etc. what do you think I’m missing? I asked my instructor what else I need to do to be promoted and he says just keep being consistent and I wonder why because I am the most consistent practitioner there currently not saying in the best but I want to be that’s why I’m there so often
@@bakedfortgod8241 A blue belt should be proficient in every position, not highly skilled and definitely not at mastery level, but proficient. Tapping out a few white belts definitely doesn't put you at 2-stripe blue belt level. How are your escapes from side control, turtle, north-south, mount. Are you capable of controlling your opponent and holding a position in side control, open guard, mount, etc, or is it just a tumbling match with positions shifting rapidly. Are you at the stage of your training where it's transitioned into concept learning rather than a sequential move set? Your definition of being the best also needs rethinking in my opinion, you asked your instructor what you "need to do to be promoted" because you want to "be the best", the colour of your belt does not indicate if you're the best or not. I would focus on being the best god damn white belt rather than belt hopping.
You dominated. Also I like the video edit it made sense with the points and captions
thank you bro!!
Yo min 7:55 that was a sick fake guard pull and ankle pick attempt - gonna try that!
neon belly lol
Id be mad as hell if I fought a year and a half old white belt lol. Congrats on the win man
lol thank you! also it took me over two years to get my blue belt - my gym has high standards
If the norm of your gym is handing out blue belts around the year and a half mark, then it's pay to play like king's jiu jitsu and other bs franchises
@@Chris-sq7pgcan you explain more in depth please? What should be the normal time it takes
