i spent 2 while months in banff just to take a break from the world, it was the absolute best 2 months i’ve ever had.

I am so lucky to live so close to this beautiful place! Banff is one of my favourite places in the world. Of course the list of things to do is way bigger but you saw some of the iconic views in the park. My perfect summer includes camping for a few days here and go around in the car taking photos and spotting wildlife, of course, adding a few hikes.
Love that this video is 6 years old, but still so timeless and well done!
My wife's and I are in Calgary right now and starting the Rocky Mountaineer trip tommorow.

we were there in July/August, 2015. Not only Banff, but we went on to Jasper, and on the way to Icefield parkway,had a lovely trip onto the Athabasca glacier, walked on the ice! Went up the Whistler by the skytram, walked along Mount Edith Cavell, and so on!! It was an unforgettable and amazing experience, impoosible to forget.

Lake Louise is one of those places that leave you with such wonder and admiration.Love your tip number eleven!!We'll do that for sure when we go there.The price of admission for the hot spring was really good!! $6.30 CAD!? That's awesome!
Yep! Just slightly cheaper than Banff Hott Springs. And less people go there, because most tourists just go to the Banff Hot Springs one. Radium is much bigger and less crowded.
I'll add #16: If it's wintertime, bring your skis or board and hit the slopes! 😎
I've only been there in winter but it was some of the best skiing of my life!
I bet!! That's the one thing I've been dying to do - ski somewhere with REAL snow. I've only gone skiing on the east coast in the US, and the snow wasn't legit. I bet skiing in Canada is amazing.
Or buy skates and go out and skate lake louise

Been there twice, nice drive from Vancouver! That said, a tourist from Switzerland said it was as spectacular as the Alps, and same kind of lakes!

If you go to Lake Louise you absolutely have to do Devil's Thumb. The view from the top is amazing and you can actually get both lakes in the same picture.

The sulphur mountain gondola is 10/10 view and if you walk all the way up the stairs to the little shed that is up there you will see a rock pointing out of the boards and that is the very top of the mountain!
I went here in Summer 2017 and made two videos! SO BEAUTIFUL! :D

Banff was the most incredible place I've ever been and I stayed in the Banff hotel and I had a view out my window of the Mountain. Lake Louis was great but on the drive though the Rockys the water streams where insane I put my hand in the water life changeling trip
Nic Garry Yeah it's crazy that so much natural beauty exists in one place. I underestimated Canada! I'd love to go back and explore more of Canada. I wonder if there are any other places as breathtaking as Banff.

school, we had a little news show that I worked on. I loved it so much
that i majored in "Film and Video" - but was disappointed when I
realized it was mostly film theory, not hands-on video production lol.
But then I got an internship at The Weather Channel, and ever since I've
been working for video teams in a corporate setting. 1st The Weather
Channel, then homedepot.com, and now I work on videos for webmd.com.

I'd really love to visit Banff in the future. that's cool that the streets are named after animals! the lake in #5 looks cool too! do you always bring a hammock with you when you travel? the gondola ride looks fun!
+Look Who's Blogging there's a story behind the hammock! My coworker let me borrow his hammock because I really wanted to bring one on the trip. But I accidentally left it at home I was so sad. In a twist of fate, there was a couple who set up a hammock in the exact same place I imagined putting mine up! When we climbed up to where they were, they kindly offered to let me sit in it. And i didn't even ask! I was so elated.

I am watching your south africa videos..lol..I just wanted to shout out that your videos are awesome and I fell in love with Banff ..omG..soooo beautiful. .my whole family loves to travel..after I showed them your video of banff..now our next family vacation hopefully will be banff...God willing :) you have to go to dubai and make series of videos..trust me you will love it...and I am from india..saw your videos from there..India is a good place but a women should never go alone to india to travel..always have a male companion...it's good you had one..looking forward to more videos..and subscribed...

Hi Ashley, I really enjoyed the video you did on Banff (very informative) and I'm actually preparing for my trip there in 2 weeks. Just curious about the hiking you did on the Lake Agnes trail - how long is the hike one way (an hour or couple hours)? Also did you ever do the go to the Columbia Icefield (Athabasca Glacier) or have any thoughts on it. I've seen pictures and videos and seems underwhelming to me for the $85 fee. Not sure if it's worth it.

Thank you! I use Adobe Premiere to edit and After Effects for graphics. I shoot with a Canon 5D mark ii, GoPro, and my Samsung S7 Edge.

We were lucky enough to do the rocky mountains on a 15 day trip with scenic tours before this pandemic and were so fortunate to stay at the beautiful Fairmont hotels including Banff Springs and chateau lake Louise ,on Vancouver island we also got to stay three nights at Fairmont grand empress and the other Fairmont hotels included whistler, Jasper park, sun peaks and Fairmont Vancouver, my advice to anyone planning this trip , don't hesitate to book with scenic tours, they have local tour guides and they just take all the worry out of your trip , they organise everything and let you just enjoy your holiday
