Thats the way to do it. What size headers do you have on there, and which BillyBoat? I thought you said the wheels are 18 in front, and 17 rear. If so, what benefits? I dont think Ive seen that done.
Thanks a lot I appreciate it! Also I run 17 on the back so I can run a taller tire so it hooks better also I think the headers are 1 7/8… also I’m not sure exackly what Billy boat exhaust it has no mufflers it’s just a single pipe that loops out
LOL.... $6K only covers the short block and using a lot of "budget minded" aftermarket parts. Expect to spend $12K for a complete forged LS engine with top of the line parts. CNC aftermarket heads alone cost $3K plus $1K for LS roller rockers and Johnson lifters are $800!
Calculating cost for this kinda stuff is always wonky. No two builds are ever the same. This guy was rebuilding a motor but still had most of the old parts. Some junkyard warrior will scoff and say they could easily produce a whole boosted 750hp motor for under 6k. Texas Speed might want to charge you 15k using all new high end parts. /Shrug
9 lbs of boosts sounds low to me for maxing out a TI head. I'm curious if you can explain your setup and how you got to that boost and power. i was at 11 lbs on my ls6 and that was with a stock crank pulley size and 3.8 sc pulley.
@Jimmy-Drives do some checking, if you have an underdrive (smaller) crank pulley, Then your blower rpm will be down and not up. What you want for a blower is an overdrive pulley so you can run a larger blower pulley for reduced belt slip chances.
This is weird af. Randomly coming across this video. I have a z06 that needs a rebuild, not living far at all from shaker. And I got my cam tune by Klug. Should I go to shaker for an engine build ?

Yes I accidentally ordered a smaller pulley for the crank and unfortunately the way it set up it’s over spinning the blower
