How To Wire A 3 Prong Rocker Switch To LED Lights - Basic Wiring for 12v Accessories

In this video I go through the basics for wiring a 3 prong Rocker switch to a LED light that will be mounted to the Land Cruiser.
Basic tools are needed an anyone can do this
Wiring basic accessories to your vehicle is a great DIY project and should not be an intimidating task.
Invest in good quality switches for your vehicle setup and you will rarely have any issues.

What if the light(accessory) negative can't reach the battery, can I combine it into the ground wire coming from the battery into the rocker switch?

Ground it to the body of the car. It doesn't need to go to the battery negative just ground it to the frame structure by loosing up a screw and ground the negative wire to it

I wired in this switch exactly how you said...and It didnt work. The power wire from the battery goes on the bottom terminal and the feed to the accessory goes to the middle. Explain that one!

My 12v rocker switch says
Supply Acc Earth/ground

Still works as in the video, just a different layout
Supply would be battery positive
Acc would be accessory
Ground would be.. well ground lol

You don't do something improperly and then say you will show how to do it right later! You should have at least use clip leads. You had NO fuse in the circuit so what you had could have burnt up if those bare wires shorted out. Very poor.
