The series with a Ren and Stimpy style before Ren and Stimpy
i like how you put that
John K, the creator of Ren & Stimpy was one of the numerous animators who worked on this show. That would explain why Mighty Mouse is as surreal and as crazy as it is.
"HERE I COME TO SAVE THE DAY"
Alright. This was officially my favorite show. It was totally bonkers and paved the way for everything that followed. I was hoping for a BatBat spinoff.
John Kricfalusi left the show after the first season, he moved to DiC to make the Beany & Cecil revival.
HOly...wow the story behind the dog/chipmunks part of Mighty Mouse?! That is some reeeeal dark humor. I could see where the actual clip itself would be funny though, sounds like a pretty great parody!
My friends and I loved this show when it came out, we could hardly wait to see what they'd do next! I too own the DVD set. ☺
Nice review. Glad to see this is a cool show
I watched this when it originally aired, I never watched too many episodes but I was surprised by the tone and edge of it, it was definitely different and I'm convinced it led to shows like Ren and Stimpy, Beavis and Butthead, Family Guy and every other animated show since then that's aimed more towards adults.
It was pretty edgy at the time. I remember seeing this cartoon and loved it, especially Bat Bat. The theme song was on my phone for a while.
Sick vid! MM was an earlier example of the resurgence of creator driven cartoons and it really shows because these guys did NOT know how to write haha, it farmed a bunch of industry people though
I gotta get into Ralph's non-movie stuff now that I've seen all his movies.
I love this show when I was a kid. My dad recorded the entire series for me on VHS
+rojobear24 oh dam your dad is cool.
I've never actually seen it either but it's always been something I've wanted to watch. It's like the blueprint for all 90s cartoons.
Honestly the original Might mouse cartoons by Terry tunes were better in my opinion, however the "new adventures"one was weird asf and dark in my opinion
-btw I'm glad I didn't grow up watching it
Hell I'd say that the pachinko machine was better
Also, putting the word "New" in this show's title ended up dating it.
Terrytoons didn't learn anything from Coca-Cola.
@@RoyStantz it's still the new mighty mouse cartoon. There hasn't been a new mighty mouse show in decades
@@alchemistofsteel8099 I know that, smarty pants.
*Only clowns are born Funny looking*
It was about a year ago when I met him.
He was nervous and kinda funny looking.
I didn't mind though since I thought he was funny.
Sometimes he'd have me howlin'.
But those were days gone by.
No one laughs anymore.
But not me I'm still howlin'.
It's just too damn funny.
My shot at short monologue in the form Bakshi. Don't think I nailed but I tried. Now all I ask is that you do more than try and just review Juwanna Mann. Much appreciated.
The cow was supposed to be George C. Scott. I only know this from the documentary made about this show.
